Effect Of Montmorillonite In Colon Surgery Pouch On Serum Creatinine Level In Rats With Acute Renal Failure

Objective:To investigate the effect of montmorillonite on the serum creatinine by making the colon surgery pouch of rat and filling gelatin solidified montmorillonite into it,using the intramuscular injection with 50%glycerol to establish rat model with acute renal failure.Methods:48 Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups,The normal control group(group A),the sham-operated group(group B),the colostomy pouch operated group(group C),the renal failure group(group D),the renal failure-colostomy pouch operated group(group E),the renal failure-colostomy pouch operated-fill montmorillonite group(group F).The rats in group A and group D were not operated;The rats of group C?E were opened abdominal cavity to establish a rat colon surgery pouch;In the group F,the colon surgery pouch was filled gelatin solidified montmorillonite.On the seventh day,50%glycerol(10mL/kg)were injected in the group D?E?F on both posterior limbs.The same dose saline were given to the group A?B?C.Tested the levels of serum creatinine on 24 h,48 h,72 h after injected glycerol.Results:Comparison the same time period in rats serum creatinine on 24 h,48 h,72 h after injected glycerol,group D?E were significantly higher than group A,the difference was statistical differences(P<0.05);group E were significantly higher than group F,the difference was statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:The serum creatinine could be reduced while gelatin solidification montmorillonite was filled in acute renal failure rat colon surgery pouch during 72h.
