The Clinical Research Of The Treatment On Middle And Advanced NSCLC Patients With Spleen And Kidney Faintness With Modified Yanghe Decoction Combined With Chemotherapy

Objective: Based on the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and tutor’s clinical experience,this study aims to provide clinical evidence for modified Yanghe Decoction in the treatment of middle and advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients so as to make promoted application conveniently,by observing the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Yanghe Decoction combined with chemotherapy treating NSCLC patients with syndrome type of spleen and kidney yang deficiency.The research analysis is mainly made from the following aspects:TCM symptom score,quality of patient life,tumor size,and bone marrow suppression.Methods:Total of 60 subjects with middle and advanced NSCLC were selected from Henan Provincial Hospital of TCM,who were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n=30).For the treatment group,modified Yanghe Decoction combined with GP chemotherapy regimen was applied,while for the control group,patients treated with chemotherapy alone.After 2 cycles of treatment,the improvements on clinical symptoms,quality of patient life,tumor change,and bone marrow suppression status were evaluated between those two groups before and after treatment.Results:(1)Basic data analysis:there was no statistical significance in age,sex,pathological type,and TNM staging between the treatment group and the control group.(P>0.05).(2)TCM symptoms score:there was no statistical significance in TCM symptom scores of the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,both two groups had decreased TCM symptom scores and the scores of the treatment group decreasedsignificantly.There was statistical significance in two groups(P<0.05).(3)Quality of patient life:there was no statistical significance in KPS score for those groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,both two groups had increased KPS scores and the scores of treatment group increased significantly.There was statistical significance in two groups after treatment(P<0.05).(4)Tumor change:there was no statistical significance in tumor change for those groups before treatment(P>0.05).And there was no statistical significance in tumor remission rate and control rate for groups after treatment(P>0.05).(5)Bone marrow suppression:there was no statistical significance in the white blood cells,hemoglobin,and platelets for those groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the incidence of bone marrow suppression for the treatment group were significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)TCM symptom score is reduced by modified Yanghe Decoction combined with chemotherapy regimen can significantly so as to improve patients’ clinical symptoms;(2)Modified Yanghe Decoction combined GP chemotherapy regimen in the treatment of middle and advanced NSCLC patients is administered to significantly improve KPS score,and improve the quality of patient life compared with administration of single chemotherapy;(3)Application of modified Yanghe Decoction combined with GP chemotherapy regimen can reduce the incidence of bone marrow suppression and reduce the toxic and side effects of chemotherapy in patients;(4)There are synergism and attenuation effect and reliable safety in treating middle and advanced NSCLC patients with modified Yanghe Decoction combined with GP chemotherapy regimen,which also can provide clinical evidence for the treatment of middle and advanced NSCLC patients with combination of TCM and Western medicine.
