Objectives:To investigate the psychological capital,job burnout and job performance of ICU nurses in Nanning and clarify the sociodemographic characteristics of ICU nurses’ psychological capital,job burnout and job performance,and explore the relationship between the three.From the perspective of positive psychology,providing new ideas for managers to respond to nurses’ psychological stress and improve the quality of care.Methods:This study used a convenient sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey of 300 nurses in the intensive care unit of 7third-grade hospitals in Nanning.Survey tools include the Nurse Demographics Questionnaire,the Nurses’ Psychological Capital Scale,the Nurse Burnout Questionnaire,and the Nurse Job Performance Scale.The data were recorded into SPSS22.0 statistical software for collation and analysis.The main analytical methods included descriptive statistical analysis,one-way ANOVA,independent sample t test,Pearson correlation test,and multiple linear regression test.Results:(1).The average psychological capital score of ICU nurses was 3.59±0.54 which was in a moderate level.From high to low,the entries average of each dimension was optimistic(4.00±0.83),sel f-efficacy(3.87±0.62),toughness(3.71±0.83),and hope(2.99±0.61)(2).The job burnout score of emergency nurses was 56.99±7.87,theentries average of each dimension was emotional exhaustion(13.97±7.90),personification(5.33±6.20),and personal accomplishment(37.69±6.83).(3).The average score of nurses’ job performance was3.87±0.30.in the task performance dimension include the clinical nursing work(4.26±0.51),the task(4.27±0.52),the professional skill(4.20±0.50),and the rules and regulations(4.29±.0.47);In the scenario performance dimension include the work actively(4.31±0.45),contributing to the hospital development(4.25±0.53);in the anti-production performance dimension include the lossy organizational behavior(1.40±0.36).(4).In the multiple linear regression analysis,a total of 3 independent variables can explain the 39.8% variation of “psychological capital”;a total of 3variables can explain the 18.9% variation of the “burnout” variable;a total of 4 variables It can explain the 48.1% variation in “work performance”.(5).There is a significant correlation between ICU nurses’ psychological capital,job burnout and job performance.The total score of psychological capital was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of burnout;the total score of psychological capital was significantly positively correlated with job performance;the total score of burnout was significantly negatively correlated with job performance.Conclusions:(1).The ICU nurses’ psychological capital level is at a medium level,but there is still room for improvement;job burnout is generally moderately burned,especially for personal accomplishment;work performance is generally at a medium-to-high level,and the dimensions for hospitals can be strengthened.(2)Arital status,working hours,weekly average night shift,job title,employment type,and monthly income are all factors affecting the psychological capital,job burnout and job performance of ICU nurses.Academic qualifications only have an impact on the performance of nurses.(3)There is acorrelation between ICU nurses’ psychological capital,job burnout and job performance.(4)The number of night shifts,the total score of burnout,and the score of personal accomplishment have predictive effects on the psychological capital of ICU nurses.The types of employment,anti-production performance scores,and optimistic scores have predictive effects on ICU nurses’ burnout;age,self-efficacy scores,Resilience scores and personal achievement scores have predictive effects on ICU nurses’ job performance.
