The Significance Of MGMT Methylation And TERT Mutation In Predicting The Prognosis Of High-Grade Glioma

ObjectiveToinvestigatetheprognosisofO^6-methylguaine-DNA methyhransferase(MGMT)promoter methylation and telomerase reverse transcriptase(TERT)promoter mutation in high grade glioma.Methods Collecting the MGMT promoter and TERT promoter of high grade glioma in September 2016 to December 2017,?~2test was used to determine whether there was correlation between MGMT promoter?TERT promoter and glioma WHO classification or between MGMT promoter and TERT promoter,and Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to determine the relationship between the MGMT promoter or TERT promoter in patients with progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).Result:There was no significant correlation between glioma WHO grade and MGMT/TERT promoter or between MGMT promoter and TERT promoter.The OS and PFS of patients MGMT promoter methylation was longer than those patients with MGMT promoter unmethylation,and the OS and PFS of patients with TERT promoter mutationwas shorter than those patients with TERT promoter wildtype,but the statistical difference of OS was at the critical state.Patients with unmethylated MGMT-mutated TERT had the worst prognosis.Conclusion The state of MGMT promoter and TERT promoter could be used as prognostic indicator of high grade glioma,and combined detection had more accurate prognostic value and therapeutic significance.
