ObjectiveThrough investigating health behavior of enterostomy patients,we aim to understand the level of health behavior among patients with enterostomy. And to determine the factors by analyzing the influence of general data,self-efficacy,social support on the health behavior of patients with enterostomy. At last,we can provide reference basis for clinical nurses to formulate intervention nursing measures to improve the level of health behavior among patients with enterostomy.MethodsUsing the convenient sampling method,202 cases of enterostomy patients who were treated in a grade A class three tumor hospital in Zhengzhou City,Henan Province from December 2017 to August 2018 were selected as the subjects of the study. The study was investigated with a self-made general data questionnaire,a health-promoting lifestyle profile-Ⅱ(HPLP-Ⅱ),a general self-efficacy scale(GSES)and a social support revalued scale(SSRS).The data processing and statistical analysis were carried out with SPSS22.0 software. The statistical methods included statistical description, univariate analysis, multiple stepwise regression analysis and Spearman correlation analysis.Results1.Status of health behavior among patients with enterostomyThe total score of health behavior of enterostomy patients was at the general level(118.30 ± 16.98).All dimensions were in order of decreasing standardized score-Nutrition,Spiritual Growth,Health Responsibility,Stress Management,Interpersonal Relations, and Physical Activity.2.Univariate analysis of influencing factors of health behavior among patients with enterostomyThe lower the scores of health behavior of enterostomy patients with the increase of age,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the scores of health behaviors among patients with enterostomy with different education levels(P < 0.05).The scores of health behavior of enterostomy patients with high household per capita monthly income were higher than those patients who with lower income(P < 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the scores of health behavior among patients with enterostomy in different living conditions(P < 0.05).The scores of healthy behavior of enterostomy patients with enterostomy complications were lower than those patients who without enterostomy complications, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The scores of health behavior in postoperative patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy were lower than those patients who without radiotherapy and chemotherapy(P < 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the scores of health behaviors among patients with enterostomy with different self-care status(P < 0.05).3.Multiple stepwise regression analysis of influencing factors of health behavior among patients with enterostomyMultiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the independent variables that finally entered the regression equation were age, household per capita monthly income, whether there were complications of enterostomy, and whether postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were performed.According to the standard partial regression coefficient, the order of influence on health behavior was household per capita monthly income, whether postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were performed, whether there were complications of enterostomy, age. The four independent variables which could explain 50.20% of the variation of health behavior.4.Correlation analysis of health behaviors and self-efficacy among patients with enterostomyThe total score of self-efficacy of enterostomy patients was at the medium level(2.22 ± 0.72).There was a significant positive correlation between health behavior and self-efficacy among patients with enterostomy, with a correlation coefficient of 0.415.5.Correlation analysis of health behaviors and social support among patients with enterostomyThe total score of social support in patients with enterostomy was at the medium level(33.01 ± 6.10).The scores of each dimension were: objective support(6.98 ± 2.39),subjective support(20.04 ± 3.47),and utilization of support(5.99 ± 1.93).There was also a significant positive correlation between health behavior and social support, with a correlation coefficient of 0.324.Conclusions1.The health behavior among patients with enterostomy is at a general level, which still needs to be improved.2.The main factors influencing the health behavior among patients with enterostomy included age, household per capita monthly income, whether there were complications of enterostomy, and whether postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were performed.3.The self-efficacy,social support and health behavior among patients with enterostomy were positively correlated. Therefore, improving the level of self-efficacy and social support are conducive to the formation of health behavior.
