| The fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess is a kind of special fever and is the typical symptom of Yangming fu-viscera excess which is frequently mentioned in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases.The method of purgating fu-organs to eliminate heat is one of the traditional Chinese medical treatment methods and is the most effective treatment method for the the fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess.Owing to the bitter and cold property,Rheum Officinale is the preferred medicine to eliminate the fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess.The Shanghan Fuyi II edited by Ke Qin also mentions that“The medicine that can promote Qi shall be used for treatment of accumulation symptoms ”.Therefore,the Fructus Aurantii Immaturus and Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis shall be used to promote Qi so as to assist the Rheum Officinale to eliminate the fever.In the essay,the antipyretic effect of the classic triple-herb recipe of Rheum Officinale,Fructus Aurantii Immaturus and Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis recorded in ZHANG Zhong-Jing’s recipe at different compatibility dosage on the rats with fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess and its mechanism are studied based on the theoretical analysis and experiment analysis.Objective:Based on the study of the gastrointestinal morphology and endogenous pyrogens of the rats of blank group,the rats of the group with fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess and the cured rats that once had fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess,the experiment is aimed to furtherly clarify the therapeutic effect of triple-herb recipe of Rheum Officinale,Fructus Aurantii Immaturus and Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis at different compatibility dosage on fever in rats with Yangming fu-viscera excess and to explore its work mechanism.Method:Before modeling,110 Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank group(n=10)by SPSS 19.0 statistical software.Model group(n = 10);A1(magnolia officinalis samwu decoction group high-dose group n=10)A2(magnolia officinalis samwu decoction group medium-dose group n=10)A3(magnolia officinalis samwu decoction group low-dose group n=10);B1(high-dose group n=10)B2(medium-dose group n=10)B3(low-dose group n=10);C1(small chengqi decoction high-dose group n=10)C2(small chengqi decoction medium-dose group n=10)and C3(small chengqi decoction low-dose group n=10).Then measure the anal temperature separately before and after modeling and once after treatment.Observe the progress of blue glucan by intragastric administration so as to calculate the intestinal propulsive rate.Observe the AVP,IL-4 and NT level in the rat’s serum by the ELISA method.Results: In the experiment,the decoction of radix aconiti lateralis preparata,rhizoma zingiberis and cinnamon with the proportion of 1:1:1 is used to conduct intragastric administration which completely reproduces the rat model with the fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess.The body temperature of the rats of blank group is around 36.8℃.Except the blank group,the temperature of the rats of all groups is obviously increased after being fed with thermophilic medicines and the body temperature is obviously decreased after treatment.Compared with the blank group,the rats in the model group are discovered with obvious intestinal flatulence,intestinal obstruction and the intestinal walls are extremely congested and swollen.In addition,the mesangia and omentum are discovered with hemorrhage and large amount of liquid with great odor exudes from the abdominal cavity.Dry excrement gathers in the intestine,which is hard and stinky.Multiple patchy hemorrhage and erosion are found in intestinal mucosa.Compared with the model group,the above mentioned symptoms are obviously decreased or and even eliminated in the treatment group.After modeling,compared with blank group,the AVP level in the serum of rats of each group is all decreased(P<0.05).After taking medicine,compared with model group,the AVP in the serum of rats of each treatment group is all increased(P<0.05).In addition,after modeling,the IL-4 content of the rats of each group is decreased while compared with that of the blank group(P<0.05).But after treatment,the IL-4 content in the serum of the rats of all treatment groups is increased while compared with that of model group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,after modeling is completed,the content of NT in serum of rats in each group is decreased while compared with the blank group(P < 0.05).However,after treatment,the content of NT in serum of rats in each group is increased while compared with model group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The prescriptions of Fructus Aurantii Immaturus,Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis and Rheum Officinale at different compatibility dosage can regulate the body temperature by regulating the AVP,IL-4 and NT level in the serum,and they can repair ICC cells by reducing apoptosis.Among the three different compatibility dosages,the group C(Xiao Cheng-Qi decoction)can bring the best antipyretic effect on rats with fever caused by Yangming fu-viscera excess. |
