Objectives: Pre-hospital emergency staff work in poor working environment with high labor-intensity,high risk and lack of respect. The purpose of this study is to understand the mental health status of pre-hospital emergency staff and explore the main influencing factors,so as to provide reference for further improvement of the mental health level of pre-hospital emergency staff. Methods: In this study, data is collected by questionnaires,in which 400 pre-hospital emergency staff of one emergency center in Hebei Province are selected as research objects to fill. The questionnaire contains general situation scale,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),job burnout scale, simple coping style scale questionnaire(SCSQ)and Minnesota job satisfaction questionnaire(MSQ).A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed, and 387 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 96.75%.Unqualified questionnaires are removed, leaving a total of 336 valid questionnaires. This study uses Excel to sort out data and SPSS21.0 to analyze the data.Several analyzing methods are used, including descriptive statistics, variance analysis, multiple regression analysis and so on.Results:1.The survey of the pre-hospital emergency staff of one emergency center in Hebei province shows that:The scores of job satisfaction show statistical difference in gender(P<0.05),age(P<0.05),job position(P<0.05),working years(P<0.01),marriage(P<0.05),professional title(P<0.01),and educational level(P<0.05).The scores of job burnout show statistical difference in gender(P<0.05),job position(P<0.05),marriage(P<0.05),and education level(P<0.01).The scores of negative coping method show statistical difference in age(P<0.05),job position(P<0.05),education level(P<0.01).2.The scores of anxiety self-assessment are statistically significant: those who have worked for more than 10 years have the highest scores(45.38± 11.91)with a detection rate of 19.8%(P<0.05).In terms of professional title, there are significant differences. The self-evaluation score of senior(technical)title anxiety is the highest(46.15±13.32)with a detection rate of 23.1%(P<0.01).There are significant differences in age.The self-rating score of anxiety above 45 years old is the highest(47.49±12.01)with a detection rate of 30.2%(P<0.01).3.The scores of depression self-assessment show statistical difference in professional. Those of middle professional title have the highest score(52.77± 9.78)with a depression detection rate of 50.3%(P<0.01).4.As for job burnout, gender, age, job satisfaction, job position, working years, coping style, marriage, professional title and education level, the overall prediction rate for each dimension’s impact on SAS is 15.2%.SAS total score regression equation can be expressed as: SAS total score = 0.171 * gender + 0.073 * age + 0.034 * job position + 0.034 * working years-0.044 * marriage + 0.126 * professional title-0.168 * education level + 0.087 * job satisfaction + 0.265 * job burnout-0.163 * coping style.5.As for job burnout, gender, age, job satisfaction, job position, working years, coping style, marriage, professional title and education level, the overall prediction rate for each dimension on SDS is 17.5%.SDS regression equation can be expressed as: SDS total score = 0.002 * gender + 0.029 * age + 0.080 * working position + 0.033 * working years-0.038 * marriage + 0.191 * professional title-0.106 * education level-0.216 * job satisfaction + 0.108 * job burnout-0.273 * coping style.6.Results of one-to-one interview: the interview results suggest that the main sources of stress for pre-hospital emergency staff are the tension between doctors and patients,high-intensity workload and occupational psychological stress and physical discomfort. Some staff have low job satisfaction, tend to burnout, and do not support their children to engage in pre-hospital emergency work.Conclusion:1.The mental health status of pre-hospital emergency staff is not satisfying, which is affected by gender, age, job position, working years, marriage, professional title, education level, job satisfaction, job burnout and coping style.2.The pre-hospital emergency staff have anxiety and depression, and the detection rate of depression is higher than that of anxiety.3.The pre-hospital emergency staff need individualized psychological intervention.
