Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Jianpi Qingchang Decoction on ulcerative colitis of dampness-heat type of spleen deficiency,and to provide clinical basis for the treatment of ulcerative colitis with traditional Chinese medicine.Study:Sixty-six patients with ulcerative colitis of damp-heat type due to spleen deficiency were randomly divided into treatment group(33 cases)and control group(33 cases).The treatment group was given Jianpi Qingchang prescription by tutor’s experience,while the control group was given Mesalazine enteric-coated tablets(H20103359 Heilongjiang Tianhong Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.1.5g tid).After 8 weeks of treatment,the differences of clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,Modified Mayo score and Baron endoscopy score between the two groups were observed.Results:(1)The effective rates of clinical comprehensive effect of the two groups were 87.1% in the treatment group and 73.3% in the control group,respectively,P < 0.05.The clinical comprehensive effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(2)The effective rate of TCM symptoms was 96.77% in the treatment group and 86.67% in the control group,P < 0.01.The difference was statistically significant.The curative effect of TCM symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.(3)Two groups of patients before and after treatment compared with diarrhea,abdominal pain,purulent stool,internal urgency after weight,anal burning of TCM symptoms and total score of TCM symptoms,P < 0.05,with statistical significance;and the treatment group was better than the control group.(4)By comparing the TCM symptom scores of abdominal distension,mental fatigue and poor food intake before and after treatment in the control group,there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05);after treatment,the TCM symptom scores of the two groups were compared,P < 0.05,with statistical significance,and the treatment group was better than the control group.(5)The Modified Mayo Score of the two groups decreased significantly before and after treatment,and the treatment group was better than the control group.(6)The Baron endoscopy scores of the two groups were improved compared with those before treatment(P=0.016 in the treatment group and P=0.032 in the control group),P<0.05 had statistical difference;there was no statistical difference in the Baron endoscopy scores between the two groups after treatment(P=0.06).Conclusion:Jianpi Qingchang Decoction has remarkable curative effect on UC of damp-heat type of spleen deficiency.It can obviously improve the symptoms of patients and promote the healing of intestinal mucosa,and has no obvious adverse reactions.The curative effect is safe.
