Objective:To observe the short-term and long-term effects of Jiawei Shaoyao Decoction enema combined with oral mesalazine enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of active damp-heat retention type ulcerative colitis, and to compare the therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome, serum CRP,FC,serum IL-6 and IL-13,the difference of the modified Mayo score, the follow-up recurrence rate and drug safety,to provide certain evidence-based basis for the selection and popularization of treatment methods for active ulcerative colitis with damp-heat accumulation. Methods:According to the principle of random control,80 patients with damp-heat retention syndrome diagnosed as active ulcerative colitis were divided into two groups according to the table of random numbers, namely the Chinese medicine enema group and the Chinese medicine oral group.Mesalazine enteric-coated tablets were given orally to the two groups, the active phase was 1 g qid,the convalescent phase was reduced by 0.5 g bid,and the Chinese medicine enema group was also given the modified Shaoyao Decoction enema, while the Chinese medicine oral phase was given the modified Shaoyao Decoction orally,if the condition is repeated according to active therapy for treatment To study the curative effect of TCM syndrome, the influence on serum CRP,FC,IL-6 and IL-13,the improved Mayo score of the two groups before and after treatment The patients were followed up 3 months and 6 months after treatment, and the recurrence rate and the incidence of adverse drug reactions were observed. The data were processed by Medical statistics, the normal measurement data are expressed, the comparison between the two groups is used t-test,the non-normal measurement data are expressed by median and quartile, the comparison between the two groups was performed by rank sum test, the counting data was expressed as a percentage, and the comparison between the two groups was performed by chi-square test. The test standard was set as α=0.05,P<0.05 had statistical difference. Results:There was no significant difference in the general data of sex, age, course of disease and severity between the two groups(P>0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the scores of TCM syndrome,CRP,FC,IL-6,IL-13 and the modified Mayo score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the TCM syndrome curative effect and laboratory value of TCM enema group were significantly better than those of TCM oral group(P<0.05).After 3 months and 6 months of treatment, the patients were followed up.The relapse rate of patients in Chinese herbal enema group was significantly lower than that in oral Chinese herbal medicine group, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion:Both Chinese herbal enema and oral administration of Chinese herbal medicine can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with damp-heat retention type of Ulcerative Colitis in active phase, which are effective schemes for the treatment of damp-heat retention type of UC.The effect of modified Shaoyao Decoction enema combined with mesalazine enteric-coated tablets on the patients with active damp-heat accumulation type UC is remarkable, which can obviously reduce the recurrence rate of patients, and does not increase the occurrence of adverse reactions,it is the preferred treatment way to treat the mild and moderate damp-heat accumulation type of UC in active stage, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
