Objective : To investigate the plasma corin and plasma levels of corin, atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),angiotensin II(Ang II)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI)in patients with essential hypertension(EH).Correlation of ANP,BNP and LVMI in patients with essential hypertension. Methods:From September 2017 to November 2018,65 patients(33 males and 32 females)with primary hypertension were hospitalized in our hospital. The average age was 53.2±6.5 years.According to LVMI,the patients with hypertension were divided into left ventricular hypertrophy group(LVH group),30 cases(15 males and 15 females)with an average age of 53.6±6.5 years;and non-left ventricular hypertrophy group(NLVH group)with 35 cases(18males)The average age of the females was 52.8±6.6 years old;30 healthy subjects were selected as the control group(16 males and 14 females)with an average age of 54.6±5.2 years.Plasma corin,ANP and BNP were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)in the laboratory of clinical research center of Our hospital.Echocardiographic measurements of diastolic ventricular septal thickness(IVST),left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LVPWT),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and calculation of LVMI.AngII and general biochemical indicators were tested by the Department of Clinical Laboratory of Our hospital.Comparison: 1 Analysis and comparison of general data, biochemical indicators and echocardiographic results of healthy control group,NLVH group and LVH group;2Analysis and comparison of corin,ANP,BNP,AngII and other indicators in hypertensive men and women 3 Correlation analysis was used to study the correlation between plasma corin and blood pressure,ANP,BNP and LVMI.4 Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors affecting LVMI by using multiple indicators such as traditional risk factors. Results :(1)The IVST,LVPWT and LVMI in the 1NLVH group were higher than those in the control group, and the IVST,LVPWT and LVMI in the LVH group were higher than those in the NLVH group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the LVEDD between the LVH group and the NLVH group(P<0.05).>0.05);however,LVEDD in the LVH group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(2)Plasma corin,ANP,BNP and AngII were higher in the NLVH group than in the control group, andplasma corin,ANP,BNP and AngII were higher in the LVH group than in the NLVH group(P<0.01).(3)The plasma corin of male patients with hypertension was higher than that of females, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(4)There was a positive correlation between plasma corin and systolic blood pressure,LVMI and ANP(r values were0.271,0.873,0.782,P<0.05).(5)Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that the independent risk factors for LVMI were plasma corin and systolic blood pressure(β = 0.936,0.331,P < 0.01).Conclusion Patients with essential hypertension have an increasing trend of systolic blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy with elevated plasma corin.Plasma corin is an independent risk factor for affecting left ventricular hypertrophy. And plasma corin was significantly higher in men with essential hypertension than in women.
