| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of herbal-cake moxibustion(ingredients: aconite,dried ginger,codonopsis pilosula,Atractylodes macrocephala,roasted licorice and banksia rose)in the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome compared with Pinaverium bromide tablets,provides a new idea in treating IBS-D.Methods: 70 person of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome with spleen-kidney yang deficiency were randomly divided into two groups: 35 person in treatment group and 35 person in control group.The treatment group was treated with herbal-cake moxibustion and the control group was treated with Pinaverium bromide tablets.Operation: treatment group: take out the prepared herbal-cake,take eight acupoints of Tianshu(ST24),Pishu(BL20),Shenshu(BL23)and Shangjuxu(ST37),and divide the acupoints into two groups,group I(Pishu,Shenshu),group II(Tianshu and Shangjuxu),and moxibustion is applied one day apart between the two groups.When moxibustion is applied,group I takes the prone position,group II takes the supine position,fully exposes the acupoints,dips alcohol or iodophor into the acupoints for routine disinfection,places a herbal-cake at each acupoint,then lights the moxa stick,puts the moxa stick into the moxa-box,place the moxa-box on the herbal-cake,and applies moxibustion.When applying moxibustion,the moxibustion adjusted the distance appropriately according to the patient’s feeling.After moxibustion,remove the moxa-box and herbal-cake,and Ask the patient to apply moxibustion to prevent cold and waterwithin 3 hours.Moxibustion was applied for 40 minutes every time,once a day,for 5 consecutive days every week,and treatment was stopped on Saturday and Sunday,for 4 consecutive weeks,a total of 20 times.Control group: Take Pinaverium bromide tablets 3 times a day orally,1 tablet each time,half an hour before meals,for 20 days.The treatment was divided into two courses,the first course was from the first week to the second week,and the second course was from the third to fourth.Observation indicators: Main Indicators: Daily defecation frequency,stool characteristics,abdominal pain or abdominal discomfort;secondary indicators: syndrome score of TCM,IBS-QOL.Observation node: record the name,gender,age,contact information,case data,symptom score,quality of life,etc.of the subjects when they enter the group,and make statistical analysis on the baseline data of the subjects;at the end of the first course,count the subjects’ daily defecation times,stool characteristics,abdominal pain or abdominal discomfort,syndrome score of TCM;at the end of the second course,count the subjects’ daily defecation times,stool characteristics,abdominal pain or abdominal discomfort,syndrome score of TCM and IBS-QOL score and evaluate the test results.Results: 1.Comprehensive effect: After two courses of treatment,the total effective rate of the herbal-cake moxibustion group was 91.42%,28.57%,45.71%,17.14%,and the total effective rate of the Pinaverium bromide group was 82.86%,5.71%,31.42%,45.71%,there was no significant difference in total effective rate between the two groups(p > 0.05).2.Total score of symptoms:There was significant difference before and after treatment(p < 0.05)in both groups,and also significant difference between the two groups(p > 0.05).3.Integral of TCM syndrome: There were significant differences before and after treatment(p < 0.05),and also significant difference between the two groups(p <0.05).4.IBS-QOL score: There was significant difference after treatment in both groups(p < 0.05),but no significant difference between the two groups(p >0.05).Conclusion: Both herbal-cake moxibustion and Pinaverium bromide tablets can improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with Diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome,and the herbal-cake moxibustion group is better than Pinaverium bromide tablet in improving TCM symptoms. |
