Clinical Study On The Effect Of Taohong Siwu Decoction On The Rehabilitation Of Patients After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Objectives To observe the effect of Taohong Siwu decoction on the reduction of inflammation factors after total knee arthroplasty and the evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine on the rehabilitation of patients with knee osteoarthritis after total knee arthroplasty.In this study,the levels of ESR,serum CRP,VAS and HSS scores in patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent total knee arthroplasty were treated with Taohong Siwu decoction.Methods:From September 2017 to June 2019,56 patients who were about to undergo TKA were randomly divided into 2 groups as the control group(33 cases)and the experimental group(23 cases)by random number table method based on the hospital medical records.TKA was performed by the same group of surgeons.After the above,two groups of patients were treated with basic treatments such as routine infection prevention,the experimental groups took 250ml of Taohong Siwu Decoction from the first day after operation,which was fried on behalf of the Chinese pharmacy of our hospital,for 14 consecutive days.Monitor the ESR,CRP,VAS,HSS score in the designated area of the affected knee joint at a specific time.Results:There was no significant difference in the age between the two groups by t-test(P>0.05).The sex distribution and the location of the disease were not statistically significant by chi-square test(P>0.05).The ESR level of the two groups was similar before operation,and there was no significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after TKA.On the 7th day after operation,significant difference between the two groups came up,the experimental group was better than the control group.The serum CRP levels of the two groups were similar before treatment,and there was no difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after operation.On the 7th day after TKA,significant difference in serum CRP between the two groups came up.The experimental group was superior to the control group.The VAS scores of the two groups were similar before treatment,and there were significant differences between the two groups on the 14th day after operation.There was no significant difference in HSS score between the two groups before operation,but there was significant difference between the two groups on the sixth month after operation.The experimental group is better than the control group.Conclusion:Taohong Siwu decoction can reduce the level of inflammatory factors in patients with KOA after total knee arthroplasty,and also plays a positive role in promoting the recovery of joint function and improving the therapeutic effect.It shows that Taohong Siwu decoction can reduce the level of inflammatory reaction and promote the recovery of knee joint function on the basis of routine treatment and functional exercise after TKA.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
