Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Leaves Of Cyclocarya Paliurus

Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the effectiveness and safety of Cyclocarya paliurus leaves infusion for type 2 diabetes patients in blood glucose control,TCM syndromes and lipid metabolism.Methods: This study adopted a randomized and controlled trial design.64 cases were selected and randomly divided into two groups of 32 cases.The control group maintained the original hypoglycemic regimen.The experimental group combined Cyclocarya paliurus leaves infusion on top of the original hypoglycemic regimen.Take6 grams(2 sachets)per day and soak in 1000 ml of boiling water for 12 weeks.Record the general information,TCM syndrome scores,and laboratory indicators of the two groups of patients before and after treatment,and perform statistical analysis to compare whether there are statistically significant differences within and between groups.Results: 1.Statistical analysis was performed on the baseline data such as general data and TCM syndrome scores before the two groups of trials,and the differences were not statistically significant(P> 0.05),and were comparable.2.TCM Syndrome Points: After treatment,both groups decreased compared with the previous one,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total effective rate in the test group was 80.65%,and the total effective rate in the control group was 41.94%,P <0.05.The experimental group was better than the control group.3.FPG,2h PPG,Hb A1c: After treatment,the two groups were lower than before,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The comparison between groups was P <0.05.4.P2 h INS,TC,HDL-C: The experimental group improved after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the comparison between the two groups after treatment,P <0.05,the experimental group was better than the control group.5.FINS,TG,LDL-C: There was no statistical difference between the two groups and between groups after treatment(P> 0.05).6.Safety evaluation: in this study,the safety indexes of the two groups after treatment showed no abnormal changes and no adverse reactions,so the evaluation was safety.Conclusion: Cyclocarya paliurus leaves infusion combined with oral hypoglycemic western medicine can improve blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes,improve the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,and is safe.
