Phellodendron chinense belongs to the genus of Phellodendron of the family Rutaceae, and it's dry bark is a traditional Chinese medicinal materia, which containsalkal oids, flavonoids, sterols, terpenes and other chemical components.P.chinense exh-ibits antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antihypertensive,hypoglycemic,anticancer,immu-nosu ppressive, antifestering and other pharmacological effects. However,it is found tha-t th ere are few studies on the water-soluble constituents of P.chinense.Thus,the drbark of P.chinense was studied in order to provide basis for its further utilization.P.chine nse was extracted with 60% acetone water for three times, and then separated byHW-40,ODS,MCI and other chromatographic techniques.Finally,15 compounds wer-e is olated and identified, namely 3,5-dimethoxycinnamol-4-O-?-D-glucoside(1),coniferin(2),ligusinenside A(3),sinapadehyde glucoside(4),coniferialdehyde glucoside(5),quercetin(6),threo-3-methoxy-5-hydroxy-phenylpropanetriol-8-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(7),2-(4-hydroxylphenyl)ethyl-O-?-D-apiofuranosyl-(1–6)-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(8),benzoic acid,4-[(?-D-glucopyranosyloxy)methyl]-methyl ester(9),?-D-glucopyranoside,2-(4-hydrox yphenyl)ethyl(10),3-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl-?-D-glucopyranoside(11),(+)-magnofl orine(12),(+)-fuzitine(13),(+)-Menisperi-ne(14),3-hydroxy-3-methyl-5-oxy-5-((3,4,5-tri hydroxy-6-((7-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahy-droisoquinolin-8-yl)ox y)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)methoxy)pentanoic acid(15).Among them, compound 15 is a new benzyltetrahydroisoquinoline-type alkaloid.Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze is a shrub or small tree of Camellia genus of Theaceae family.Yellow tea belongs to one of the six tea categories in China, which has a small reputation and is not known to the public. In recent years, scientists began to study yellow tea due to its unique efficacy. However, there are few studies on the water-soluble components of yellow tea.In order to provide the basis for the further utilization and development of yellow tea,we studied the 60% acetone water extract of yellow tea by HW-40,ODS,MCI and other chromatographic techniques. Finally, five compounds were identified as epigallocatechin gallate(1),epigallocatechin gallate(2),epigallocatechin(3),epigallocatechin(4),and epigallocatechin(5).
