A Phonetic Study Of Shangdu Min Dialect In Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

The end of Ming dynasty and the early years of Qing dynasty,people who speak Zhangzhou Min dialect from Fujian migrate to Liufeng village,Shangdu town,Pingnan county,Guangxi,which takes shape of a Minnan dialect island.The people who lived in the asland can speak two languages,both Pingnan Min dialect and Pingnan Yue dialect.The present paper describes the dialect from phonetic perspective,and compares it with its original dialect called Zhangzhou Min dialect and immigrant dialect called Pingnan Yue dialect,discusses the phonetic change after three hundred years,analyses phonetic historical strata and discovering that Pingnan Shangdu Min dialect remains more phonetic features of Minnan dialect,less affected by Pingnan Yue dialect.The paper is divided into eight chapters:the first chapter is the introduction of related data,including research background?object and significance?mothod and source of materials;the second chapter is phonetic system and features of Shangdu Min dialect of Pingnan,such as there are no dentilabial sound and retroflex sound in ancient times?Xia character reads as "k"?Yun and Xia characters are same?lanking rhymes containing a rounded front vowel and so on;the third chapter is the syllable form;the fourth chapter is the phonetic comparison between Pingnan Min dialect and Middle ages;the fifth chapter is the analysis of colloquial and literary readings of Shangdu Min dialect,comparison with Zhangzhou Min dialect,conclusion of Shangdu Min dialect colloquial and literary readings traits and found that colloquial and literary readings are deline in number and colloquial reading often remained,and weak systematicness of colloquial and literary readings;the sixth chapter is the comparison between Zhangzhou Min dialect and Pingnan Yue dialect,hackling inheritance part from Zhangzhou Min dialect,such as there are no dentilabial sound and retroflex sound in ancient times?Xia character reads as“k"?Yun and Xia characters are same?lanking rhymes containing a rounded front vowel and so on,and impact part from Pingnan Yue dialect,such as the emerging of lateral fricative,comparison with Zhangzhou Min dialect,voiced initials devoicing unaspirated consonants are deline in number;the seventh chapter is using analysis method on historical strata,analyzing pronunciation type of Guo She and Yu She of Pingnan Min dialect,infering approximate time of sound category;the eighth chapter is peroration.
