"Sǐ" is a frequently used word in modern Chinese.From the beginning of creation to the present,the meaning and usage of "sǐ" tend to be diversǐfied.Due to its lexical meaning,variety of usage,and irreplaceability of certain expressǐon effects,"sǐ" has become a major difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper uses the corpus of English students whose native language or official language is English in the HSK dynamic composǐtion corpora as a research object.Through statistical analysǐs,the use of the "sǐ" of English-speaking international students is summarized and biased.Error description and analysǐs,and finally put forward relevant teaching suggestions.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the current status of "sǐ"ontology research,the status of comparative study of "sǐ" in Chinese and foreign languages,the status of "sǐ" research in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and the research methods and related corpus descriptions of this paper.The second chapter makes a comparative analysǐs of the meaning,grammar and pragmatics of the Chinese "sǐ" and English "die" in order to lay a foundation for the postscript.The third chapter examines and analyzes the corpus of English students in the background of HSK dynamic composǐtion corpora to grasp the use of "sǐ" by foreign students in English background.The fourth chapter is based on the previous analysǐs of the pa,and specifically analyzes the errors in the process of "sǐ" acquisǐtion of English-student international students,and further analyzes the causes of the errors.Finally,from the teaching and textbook to English Background Students are advised to "sǐ" teaching.
