English score is the most direct manifestation of students' English learning situation.It not only reflects the situation of students' mastery of English knowledge,but also shows students' English learning motivation to a great extent.As one of the most important factors affecting students' English learning effectiveness,motivation is closely related to students themselves,while in the meantime,the classroom teaching guided by the English teacher also plays a very crucial role in the stimulation of students' learning motivation.English teachers should adopt scientific methods to motivate students' motivation,to help and to encourage students to learn English well.Ecological classroom teaching model takes ecology as the focus and inspects the following aspects from multiple perspectives.To name just a few,students who are considered to be the learning subjects in the process of English teaching and learning;teachers who are the teaching subjects;the target language which is designed to be mastered;classes which are the learning environment and also other ecological teaching elements and the influence of these factors on students'English learning.This research concentrates on the ecological classroom teaching model,combines with other theories relating to ecological classroom teaching and English teaching,and attempts to explore the stimulating effect of the ecological teaching model on high school students' English reading scores and English learning motivation on the ground of the current situation of English teaching and learning in Chinese high schools,intending to prove that the combination of the ecological classroom teaching model and the English classes could exert positive influence on the promotion of high school students' English reading grades and their English learning motivation,and also to illustrate that the ecological classroom teaching model is of great superiority comparing with the traditional classroom teaching models.The whole research is divided into three phases which are the prelude of the classroom experiment,the implementation of the classroom experiment and the ending of the classroom experiment,trying to make a comprehensive analysis on the application of the ecological classroom teaching model in the English classroom.Before the class experiment,the author strikes to get to know the students' actual English reading ability and their opinions and attitudes toward the traditional classroom teaching model;during the implementation of the class experiment,the author compares those two classes and summarizes the performances and changes of the students in the experiment class,getting to explore the value of the ecological classroom teaching model further;after the whole class experiment,the author collects and analyzes relevant data by using scientific means as well as software and draws the following two conclusions:first,the application of the ecological classroom teaching model in the English classroom can certainly help to improve high school students' English reading performance and scores;second,the ecological classroom teaching mode in the English classroom could promote high school students'motivation in learning English.To make sure the research goes on smoothly,this study mainly uses three research methods which are the observation method,questionnaires and tests as well as the means of data analysis.The method of observation is mainly used before the start of the class experiment and also in the whole process of the experiment.Through observation,the author looks into the students' actual class performance and the changing of the English reading scores under the influence of the traditional classroom teaching model and the ecological classroom teaching model respectively.Questionnaire and test are mainly used before and after the implementation of the classroom experiment.These two methods help the author to get to know the attitudes of students toward the ecological classroom teaching model and the changing of students' English reading scores.Data analysis is mainly used after the class experiment.Through the collection,calculation and analysis of various data,this research method provides scientific and reliable data support for the whole research and this way is also a guarantee to make sure that the conclusion coming from the class experiment is credible.This research puts the ecological classroom teaching model into the English classroom and proves that the application of the ecological classroom teaching model could promote high school students' English reading scores and also their motivation of learning English effectively through an empirical research,providing a reference for the similar researches and extending a new way for English teaching and learning in China.
