| As the main medium of teaching and learning,teaching materials play an important role in teaching process.The primary school English teaching material has its particularity,it is the main source that the students obtain knowledge and the main basis of teachers’ teaching,it plays the key role in the development of the teaching process.Hong Kong’s English curriculum reform has been one of the leading enterprises in Asia.The special political background made Hong Kong courses in fusion between eastern and western culture.Based on local actual and accepted international curriculum ideas that Hong Kong has accumulated many successful experiences.Therefore,it is helpful to strengthen the study of the English teaching materials of primary schools in Hong Kong,which will help us to understand and grasp the characteristics of English textbooks better in primary schools,so as to promote the reform of English teaching in primary schools.This essay is based on CNP edition of the primary school English of Cambridge(JOIN IN)and Hong Kong Longman "Welcome to English" as the research object which used the methods of literature,statistics,comparison research method that focus from vocabulary,sentence patterns,phonics,grammars to passages of the five dimensions.It targets to the knowledge of the two sets of teaching materials and carrys out the situations that has carried on the comparative analysis and summarized of the two sets of teaching materials in the aspect of knowledge goal implementation and puts forward the corresponding to the textbook writers and the user with recommendations of writing and using. |
