| The installation of the amusement facilities produced by Italian company ZAMPERLA is constructed by the Chinese installation company.Considering that there are some Italian engineers giving instructions in the construction site,it is necessary to have an interpreter to smooth the communication between Chinese workers and Italian engineers.The main goal of this report is to find out the major issues and difficulties encountered in field interpretation so as to propose appropriate and corresponding solutions.The research method is simply based on the analysis of the record text and cases.Four major difficulties are evaluated in this report,namely,the barriers caused by foreigners,embarrassment caused by disagreements between two sides,insufficient knowledge of the installation and weak short memory.Accordingly,the reporter also works out four corresponding strategies to overcome the obstacles of interpreting.First,we can adapt to various habit of language use for communication;second,the interpreter should improve the psychological qualities of the interpreter and be able to transfer to different roles;third,it is necessary to promote quick self-learning while taking emergency strategies;Last but not least,it is helpful to summarize the main idea by following the logic.This report can not only provide references and experience for similar field interpreting,but also contributes to the teaching of engineering interpreting.Furthermore,it can make the international project cooperation become easier. |
