The way of removing the symbolic nature of things from the authoritative and monolithic everyday social family was systematically discussed in Derrida's deconstructionist theory in 1976.He thinks that the symbol itself can reflect the truth, advocates that the study of the individual should be more important than the whole, and opposes the fixed and central theory of the symbolic structure. But linguist Saussure believes that the signification and signification are composed of a series of differences in sounds and concepts, and there is no inherent relation of one to another. His notion of symbolic arbitrariness supports Derrida's argument in theory. In their view, the origin of truth is nothing more than a game of symbols. This trend of thought has exerted a great influence on the design field first in the art world, and it has penetrated into all kinds of art.Art critics always try to find an entry point for the next writing. As far as the category of installation art is concerned,as a form of expression, there must be a grammatical commonality. As the main text material in the device, the grammatical discussion of the object can start from multiple perspectives. The meaning of each angle is also different. In the next chapter, based on the existing experience cognition and the reference of relevant materials, the author presents the four aspects of the symbol, object image, object state, and material used in the installation art,and discusses the differences in meaning between them in the specific context.
