Learning behavior is one of the main factors affecting the learner's learning achievement.Many surveys show that,in order to solve the problem of unsatisfactory learning,it is necessary to understand the learner's learning behavior first.Burrhus Frederic Skinner emphasized,if students have active learning behavior,their academic achievement are also better.Therefore,it is importance of cultivating learners5 good learning behavior.There are some problems in the Chinese learning behavior between Indonesian students.Therefore,this paper studied the correlation between learning behavior and learning achievement of Indonesian learners majoring in Chinese education in the School of Chinese Language in Huaqiao University by combining quantitative and qualitative methods.This thesis is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction,including the research questions and objectives,the background and significance,and the research methods;The second chapter is the research summary of related literatures;The third chapter is the survey of Chinese language learning behavior and learning achievement of Huaqiao University,including theoretical assumptions,questionnaire preparation,the process of questionnaire survey and the results of the survey;The fourth chapter is the analysis and discussion of survey,including the analysis of theoretical hypothesis and learner's learning methods;The fifth chapter is the comparative analysis of Chinese learning behaviors between Indonesian learners in Huaqiao University and Indonesian native learners;The sixth chapter is about the author's teaching suggestions on the Chinese teaching;The last chapter is the conclusion of this study,including the research achievement,teaching suggestions,research innovation and limitations of the research.After using SPSS software to process and analyze the data,the study found that:1)There is a significant positive correlation between the total learning behavior and its four dimensions and the Chinese comprehensive scores.There is also a significant positive relationship between these four dimensions;2)In the total learning behavior and its four dimensions,non-Chinese learners do not perform as well as Chinese-speaking learners;3)In the total learning behavior and its four dimensions,male students do not perform well in female students;4)In the overall learning behavior and learning motivation,attention,and learning attitude,freshman's performance is the most positive.In terms of learning strategies,third-year students have the highest frequency of learning strategies,and the learning frequency of fourth-year students is very close to that of third-year students.Freshmen and sophomores have fewer learning strategies and are less frequently used.The innovation of this study is the correlation analysis between the learning methods and achievement of learners' skills for Chinese listening,speaking and reading.The results of the study show that:1)In terms of listening,Indonesian learners improve their listening skills by using free time to watch Chinese TV dramas;2)In terms of speaking,Indonesian learners are following Chinese people pay attention to and imitate their pronunciation,chat with their classmates in Chinese,and learn the pronunciation and expression of Chinese chat to improve their oral English;3)In terms of reading,Indonesian learners often read Chinese books after class to improve reading.In addition,after comparing and analyzing the Chinese learning behaviors between Indonesian learners in Huaqiao University and Indonesian Tzu Chi Primary School learners,we found that:1)There is a significant positive correlation between the learning behavior and their comprehensive achievement of two groups of learners;2)There is a correlation between the learning behavior and the family language of two groups of learners;3)There are gender differences in learning behavior between two groups of learners;4)There are differences in the length of learning time between two groups of learners;5)The learning behaviors of Indonesian learners in Huaqiao University are better than those of the Indonesian Tzu Chi Primary School learners.Finally,combining the research results with the learning behavior problems found,this paper puts forward some suggestions for Chinese teaching:1)Stimulating learning motivation and cultivating a good learning attitude;2)Attracting learners to pay attention to the classroom;3)Teachers actively cultivate learning strategies for lower-level learners;4)Promote Chinese learning for male students;5)Help non-Chinese learners to solve learning difficulties and promote the development of "one-person-to-one-person assistance" activities;6)Updating Chinese textbooks,and teachers should supplement Chinese knowledge appropriately during class.
