Chen Qigang is a famous Chinese composer who studied in France.He graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in composition and used to be the apprentice of the music master Messiaen.He is one of the most representative original composers in contemporary China.His works cover a variety of genres and are related to chamber music,concerto and other fields,such as the folk chamber music San Xiao,the chamber music sexet A Dream Journey,and the oboe concerto Dao Qing.These works have distinct Chinese national characteristics and win the reputation in Europe and the rest of the world.In addition,he creates original music for many excellent films.For example,The Love of the Hawthorn Trees,Coming Home,and The Flowers of War,and so on.Although his piano works are few,they all be called models of modern Chinese piano work.The most representative work is the Instants d'un Opera de Pekin which skillfully combines the musical elements of Chinese Peking Opera with Western composing techniques.In this work,the “Hang Xian” which from the " Xi Pi " of Peking Opera is used as the main melody,the new playing techniques that play both two themes at the same time are also in it,and the tunes are rich in oriental delicacy and modern feeling.This work is a classic of Chinese and Western music fusion.Combining with my own actual performance experience,this paper analyzes the background,characteristics and playing skills of Instants d'un Opera de Pekin and explains the interpretation of the work from a new aspect.Through this study,I aim to deepen my understanding of this work and to lay the foundation for a better interpretation of this kind of piano works in the future. |
