With the development of multimedia technology,much more multimedia equipment is used in the class of Teaching Chinese to Foreigners,but the use of blackboard is gradually reduced.However,many novice Chinese teachers who have just left the country will find that not all the foreign schools have multimedia equipment available for teaching.Under such circumstances,how to properly design the blackboard-writing and effectively use the blackboard-writing to improve teaching quality have become an urgent problem for overseas novice Chinese teachers.Therefore,this paper investigates the blackboard-writing of overseas Chinese novice teachers.Through the questionnaires of students and teachers,as well as class observations and interviews,this paper finds the problems of overseas novice Chinese teachers in blackboard-writing from the aspects of board design and novice Chinese teachers themselves.On the one hand,there are some problems of blackboard-writing design.For examples,too many technical terms are used in blackboard-writing;the hand-writing of blackboard is not standardized;the usage frequency of English or students' mother tongue in blackboard is too high.On the other hand,overseas novice Chinese teachers themselves also have some problems.For examples,most of them don't have adequate preparations of blackboard-writing before class;some of them lack communications with students and habits of checking blackboard-writing;and some of them don't have practical actions to improve blackboard-writing.As for the reasons for the above problems,one is internal factors-insufficient attention to the blackboard-writing;one is external factors-lacking of theoretical knowledge and practical training.Therefore,in order to use the blackboard much more effectively,this paper suggests that novice Chinese teachers should pay more attention to the blackboard-writing,and take practical actions to improve the blackboard-writing.Teachers can improve blackboard-writing design from the contents of the blackboard,the auxiliary tools that used in blackboard-writing,and the hand-writing of blackboard.At the same time,both schools and Hanban should carry out corresponding activities or trainings to improve Chinese teachers' blackboard-writing.
