| In the fall of 2018,when the translator just entered BFSU Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation(GSTI),she translated several articles from Slate.In the spring of 2020,upon graduation,the translator translated those articles for the second time.This report is a comparative analysis of the translations before and after.According to the "Comprehension,Expression and Adaption"(CEA)framework proposed by Li Changshuan and Lynette Xiaojing Shi,this report analyzes a large number of examples to summarize how to solve problems related to comprehension,expression and adaption."Comprehension" introduces how to understand the background,context,and language of the ST;"expression" focuses on how to avoid Euro-Chinese,adjust sentence structures and ensure coherence;"adaption" presents howto adjust the TT to achieve cultural communication and bring readers a better reading experience.The report has five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which presents the content and structure of this report.The second chapter describes the translation task,including the background of the translation,the translation materials,and the translation process.The third chapter introduces the CEA framework and discusses the meaning and requirements of comprehension,expression,and adaption respectively.The fourth chapter is the main body of the report--case analysis.Chapter five reviews the whole translation process and summarizes the findings. |
