Writing occupies an important position in English teaching in senior high school.However,writing teaching under the traditional teaching has been neglected for a long time.Students are not interested in English writing and their learning efficiency is low.In recent years,flipped classroom has emerged under the context of the wave of education informatization,which provides new opportunities for the reform of English writing teaching.This article deeply integrates the flipped classroom with English writing teaching,and aims to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of the application of flipped classroom teaching model to English writing teaching in senior high school.Flipped classroom breaks the traditional teaching method of instilling knowledge,and fully reflects the student-centered teaching philosophy.The theoretical foundations of this study are constructivism and humanism.Constructivism emphasizes that students are the center of the classroom,and all teaching activities should be based on the needs of students.Learners construct new knowledge and information through interacting with the outside world.Humanism fully affirms human dignity and value.It advocates that teaching focuses on the inner world of students and plays a role in developing students' cognition and emotions.And it also puts an emphasis on cultivating a sound personality and creating a positive environment for growth.This study which applies the flipped classroom to senior high school English writing teaching aims to answer the following three questions:1.In what way does the senior high school English writing flipped classroom teaching model affect students' learning strategies in English writing?2.What are the effects of senior high school English writing flipped classroom teaching model on students' English writing competence?3.What's the influence of senior high school English writing flipped classroom teaching model on students' autonomous learning in English writing?This study selected two grade one classes in a senior high school in Liaoning province for implementing an 18-week teaching experiment.A total of 88 students from the experimental class and control class participated in the research.The control class used the traditional teaching method,and the experimental class adopted English writing flipped classroom teaching model.Questionnaires,pre-test and post-test and interviews are involved in the instrument.The data collected from the questionnaires and interviews is analyzed qualitatively.The data collected from pre-test and post-test is analyzed by software SPSS26.0.The study shows that senior high school English writing flipped classroom teaching model can encourage students to use corresponding learning strategies in the process ofEnglish writing learning,thereby improving the learning efficiency of English writing.Compared with the control class,students in the experimental class can express their ideas fluently and the logic is enhanced than before.Their English writing competence is improved significantly.In addition,students in the experimental class are also able to explore new knowledge more actively,complete various learning tasks autonomously,which illustrates that their autonomous learning has promoted greatly.Therefore,flipped classroom has a positive impact on English writing teaching and it also provides a new idea for the reform of English writing teaching.
