Listening and speaking teaching is an important part of College English teaching.Improving students' listening and speaking ability is the primary objective of College English teaching.However,the teaching phenomenon of “only listening but not speaking” is widespread.With the development of educational concept and modern educational technology,Blended Teaching Model(BTM)has become the focus of educators.BTM combines the advantages of traditional classroom and online learning to provide a new way for the reform of College English listening and speaking teaching.Based on Ucampus(an online learning platform)and the previous research,this study constructs BTM to demonstrate whether BTM based on Ucampus has a positive effect on College English listening and speaking teaching.In this study,90 sophomores from two non-English major classes of Shenyang Normal University are taken as the research objects.And test,questionnaire and interview are taken as the research instrument.Through a semester of teaching experiment,this study aims to answer the following three questions:(1)What is the impact of BTM based on Ucampus on students' listening and speaking ability?(2)What are the characteristics of BTM in College English listening and speaking teaching based on Ucampus ?(3)What is the attitude of the teacher and students towards BTM in College English listening and speaking teaching based on Ucampus?After analyzing the collected data,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)BTM based on Ucampus has a positive impact on improving students' listening and speaking ability.Before class,students complete autonomous learningon Ucampus;during class students use the sentence pattern of opinion expression and listening strategy to output oral expression;after class,students complete the unit test.Students' English listening and speaking ability is improved significantly.(2)BTM based on Ucampus integrates online learning and offline teaching,optimizes the use of Ucampus,promotes students' autonomous learning online,increases classroom interaction offline;adheres to the teaching principle of “student as the main subject” and “teacher as the leading role”;backwash teaching by analyzing data on Ucampus.(3)The teacher and students give positive feedback on BTM in College English listening and speaking teaching based on Ucampus and express their willingness to continue to use BTM in future learning.Based on the findings of this study,the researcher hopes to provide a reference for the reform of College English listening and speaking teaching.There are many deficiencies in this study,and further empirical research need to carried out based on Ucampus.
