Paul Hindemith was one of the most important German composer in 20 th century.Meanwhile,he was also a great viola player who made important contributions to the development of viola music in the 20 th century.This thesis takes one of his early work Hindemith Sonata for Viola and Piano(Op.25,no.4)as an example for discussing and analysing its historical background,structure,stylistic features and performance approaches in detail.The author investigates Hindemith's playing techniques and performance problems in light of her performing experience.The author hopes this thesis could help the researchers and performers better understand Hindemith's early viola music creation features in practicing and teaching,and grasp a deep understanding for performing this excellent work. |
