| In recent years,due to the increasing emphasis on the cultivation of Chinese learners’ communicative competence in TCFL,we find a growing number of studies on linguistics appropriateness.In this paper,Developing Chinese-Intermediate Speaking Course and foreign students above intermediate level are chosen as research objects.Based on the teaching texts analysis,the current problems in the intermediate spoken Chinese classroom,and the predecessors’ research on linguistics appropriateness,this paper discusses the meaning of the appropriateness in teaching Chinese as a second language and the teaching content related to the appropriateness in the oral classes,by summarizing the expression of appropriateness and inappropriateness in the texts.In view of the predecessors’ understanding and definition of appropriateness,this article defines "language appropriateness" as the speaker’s ability to give sufficient thought to the situation,occasion and the status of the listener in Chinese culture,thus following the spoken Chinese habits.First of all,the article adopts the classified statistical method to analyze the teaching material item by item,finds typical cases of appropriate and inappropriate expressions from Lesson 1 to 15,and carries on the concrete elaboration from three aspects: the content,the language,and the exercise;On this basis,this paper uses observation and questionnaire methods to make a statistical sorting of students’ situational dialogues and functional exercises in spoken Chinese classes,and classifies and integrates the typical cases of students’ improper expressions caused by the poor mastery of textbook content and the lack of relevant cultural knowledge.Finally,from the perspective of textbook compilation,this paper proposes the content should be more communicative and contemporary,that the language should be more colloquial,and that the after-class exercises,especially the functional exercises,should be more task-based and realistic.On the basis of the above,two suggestions are put forward for teaching activities: First,internal regulation of speech acts that helps improve linguistic appropriateness,including simple vocabulary and sentences teaching,can be added properly to teaching activities combined with material;Second,teachers need to increase knowledge,connect the conventional training with appropriate expression training,and give students accurate feedback in time,thereby improving the ability of expression appropriateness of Chinese learners in daily life. |
