With the development of market economy and the reform of household registration system,a large number of young people from all over the country come to cities with rapid social and economic development.Young people face the contradiction of continuing to struggle in cities and taking care of the next generation.Under the influence of Chinese traditional family culture and in order to reduce the burden of their children,the elderly from other places are swarming into the city and living in the village community with their middle-income children.After entering the new environment,they will face the challenge of community adaptation,both physically and psychologically.For this special group,people from all walks of life and social work field have paid attention to and studied their community adaptation status and problems.The field research object of this paper is the foreign elders of X community in Shenzhen.By using the research methods of literature research,observation,questionnaire and interview,and by understanding and analyzing the adaptation status and common needs of the foreign elders community,this paper attempts to analyze the influencing factors of the adaptation status of the village community in the foreign elders city from multiple perspectives.In view of the problems and needs of the community adaptation of the elderly,this paper designs the working plan of the group,and explores the practice from the perspective of the active adaptation of the elderly by using the working methods and skills of the group.The evaluation of the process and results of group activities shows that the group work method has advantages in improving the adaptability of the community of the elders from outside the village in the city,and on this basis,it reflects on the shortcomings and puts forward feasible suggestions.
