"Village to residence" community is the result of the rapid urbanization process,urban construction occupies a large amount of rural land,farmers lost their land resources into the home village changed.At the same time,with the change of society and family structure,the group of empty-nesters emerges spontaneously and its proportion gradually increases.As a result,more and more rural empty-nesters move out of rural areas and settle down in cities under the implementation of the policy of "changing village to residence".The empty-nesters in the "village to residence" community are a special group in the aging of population,they should not only face the living environment,living habits,interpersonal relationship,the great changes in aspects such as ideas,and lack of child care,psychological loneliness,vulnerability is larger,their physical condition,mental health and social participating in several aspects,such as show can't well adapt to the new community environment,In a sense,this leads to the decline of the living standard of the empty-nesters group.In addition,there are not many researches on the social adaptation of the empty-nesters in the "village to residence" community in China at present,and there is a lack of practical experience in solving such problems.Therefore,at this stage,it is urgent to explore and solve the problems existing in the social adaptation of the empty-nesters in the "village to residence" community.In this paper,from the perspective of social work research,using group work intervention the social adaptability of empty-nesters in "village to residence" community,from material to explore the problem of looking for the most appropriate and properly deal with ways to solve such problems,so as to build a link between the empty-nesters in the "village to residence" community and the city.To this end,this study goes deep into the "village to residence" community,conducts questionnaire survey and interview on special vulnerable groups such as empty nesters,to understand the social adaptation of empty nesters in community J of Qingdao in terms of physiology,psychology,economy,social interaction,social participation and other aspects.The investigation and interview results were deeply analyzed to further explore the needs of the empty nesters in J community for the social environment at the present stage.Under the guidance of theoretical methods such as hierarchy of needs,social support and energy enhancement,designed and carried out a group with the empty-nesters as the main body and the purpose of improving social adaptability.Through seven group activities,the group members were helped to find the sense of community identity and belonging,to build up the courage and confidence to face the new life in the future,to overcome the loneliness and negative emotions,to actively participate in community activities,to obtain the sense of life happiness,and to improve their ability to adapt to the new life.Finally,the whole process of the team work to carry on the profound reflection,analysis of the advantages of group work mode in solving such problem and deficiency,and put forward the path of optimization services.In order to help the empty-nesters better adapt to the new community life,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures for the social adaptation of the empty-nesters in the "village to residence" community from the perspectives of individual family,community and social policy,so as to realize the full cooperation between the government,community and family.
