Children's self-control ability refers to the ability of children to adjust and control their emotions and behaviors consciously and actively according to the environment and atmosphere in order to meet social norms and requirements. The development of children's self-control ability is very important for the formation of children's good personality and their future growth.Research shows that middle school is a period of rapid development of children's self-control ability, and intervention at this stage with appropriate methods can effectively improve children's self-control ability. The percussion activity is a collective music activity that is popular among young children.During the activity, children mainly express music through music listening, instrument operation, and group performance. The unique teaching form puts forward higher self-management requirements for young children. This study takes this opportunity as an opportunity to combine the children's self-control ability and percussion activities in the middle class, using questionnaire measurement and experimental comparison to explore the impact of percussion activities on the children's self-control ability. In this study, two middle classes in the same kindergarten were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, each with 34 persons, with equal numbers of boys and girls in each group.Using the teacher's self-control questionnaire for young children compiled by Yang Lizhu's research team as a measurement tool,Before the experiment, the head teachers of the two classes filled out questionnaires for initial evaluation, and then conducted percussion activities in the experimental group to intervene. After 8 weeks, the post-test data was used to compare the development of the children's self-control ability in the experimental group and the control group.Through the analysis and test of the measured data before and after, the results found that:(1)there was a significant difference in the self-control ability of the children in the experimental group before and after the percussion activity intervention;(2)after the percussion activity intervention, the children in the experimental group had better self-control ability than the control group. In summary, the conclusion of this study is that the development of a series of percussion activities can promote the development of children's self-control.Based on the results of the above research,I tried to put forward the following effective suggestions for cultivating the self-control ability of young children:(1)Establish the routine of using musical instruments and implicitly limit external restrictions as self-restraints;(2)Give young children the opportunity to explore musical instruments freely and satisfy curiosity;(3)Use role play to maintain the interest of young children. The innovation of this study lies in the combination of percussion activities with self-control ability, which opens up new ideas for the cultivation of children's self-control ability in the garden, theoretically enriches the research results on improving children's self-control ability.Promoting the development of self-control ability of middle school children in teaching activities provides reference cases and guiding strategies, which has certain reference significance.
