Film education refers to the educational activities carried out by film as an educational resource,which promotes people's knowledge and skills about "film" and transfers cultural values in films,changing people's ideas and promoting physical and mental health.The film was born in France.With the development of film technology and the continuous extension and expansion of film content,the film gradually has many functions of education,understanding and aesthetics.Europe has a long tradition of film education.Among them,France is an influential country of film education and one of the earliest countries in the world to develop film education in primary and secondary schools,which has achieved the most remarkable results.France has formed a relatively mature film education system for elementary and middle school students,and its practice is ahead of the world's film education trend.In recent years,China's education sector puts more emphasis on film and television education in primary and secondary schools.In 2018,the Ministry of Education of China proposed to strive for 3 to 5 years to achieve the basic popularization of film and television education in primary and secondary schools across the country.How to implement film education in primary and secondary schools is a hot topic that needs to be studied in depth in China's education community,and it is also an urgent practical need.This study takes French primary and secondary school film education as the research theme.This paper is divided into six parts.Firstly,the introduction part introduces the origin of the study and the theoretical and practical significance of the research.Then it comprehensively organizes and discusses the domestic and foreign literature related to film education and puts forward the contentand methods of the research in this article.Secondly,the first chapter defines the key concepts involved in this article,including film literacy,film education and film and television education,and then introduces the theoretical basis of film education in primary and secondary schools.Richard Meyer 's cognitive theory of multimedia learning,the educational rhythm thoughts of Whitehead and Bruner's educational culture view provide theoretical support for film education.Thirdly,the second chapter divides the French primary and secondary school film education process into four periods,including origin,budding period,comprehensive development period and new development stage.Then,the third chapter introduces the specific implementation of French film education in elementary school,junior high school,and high school.The three national film projects of “école et cinema” “Collège au cinema”and “Lycéens et apprentis au cinema” are studied as cases.Next,chapter 4 introduces the implementation of French film education outside the school.Finally,chapter 5 turns the focus on the historical development and actual implementation of elementary and middle school film education in China.On the basis of summarizing the existing problems of film education in China and the experience of French film education,some suggestions are put forward for improving film education in China.
