With the rapid development of global economic integration and information technology,the competition between individual enterprise,regarding efficiency,quality,and rapid response,has been changed to that of whole supply chain.Inventory management is one of the most important part in supply chain management.Enterprises gradually realize the importance of inventory management.Inventory is a double-edged sword,proper inventory can promote enterprise’s core competitiveness,but high inventory will cause huge occupation of funds and bring fatal damage to the enterprise at any moment.In this dissertation,on the basis of summarizing the inventory management theory,author analyze current situation of C company’s inventory management,and identify six major problems during the progress of raw materials inventory turnover and management.And then author summarize the reasons for the problems during three main process relating to sales,production and purchases.Regarding the problems and reason,author work out a series of improvement measures and idea.Firstly,to establish efficient internal supply chain foundation through the change of organizational framework and the using of QR code and ERP.Secondly,Under the new framework,to choose a series of technical improvement measures,including exponential smoothing method,MRP,ABC inventory classification and Kraljic matrix classification,supplier relationships and the application of VMI.Thirdly,In the process of implementation,author also refers to some basic concepts,such as the re-order point,order quantity and safety stock.And finally,to strengthen internal cooperation and establish effective performance appraisal system to guarantee the whole implementation process and results.In this dissertation,author adopt Inquiry and observation,qualitative or quantitative analysis to improve the rapid response and synergism of the whole supply chain.After the practice,C company’s inventory turnover and overall operating performance get promoted.The improvement process will also bring certain inspiration and reference to similar enterprises in the label industry regarding to supply chain management and inventory management. |
