The Nineteenth National Congress made a major decision to "Implement the Strategy of Healthy China",which raised the maintenance of residents’ health to the height of national strategy. With the increasing population aging in China, all sectors of society focus on the issue.Achieving healthy aging is the strategic goal of our country to cope with the aging population. We need to systematically and deeply understand the health status of the elderly population and the factors affecting their health. The health status of the elderly population is the continuation and transformation of the previous health status. As the middle-aged people who are about to enter the ranks of the elderly, their health status is also worth noted. To promote the health status of older adults,we should start with the middle-aged people,so as to put forward corresponding measures to promote the health level of the elderly population. The specific work is summarized as follows:1.Collect and process data.Using the data of China Health and Old-age Follow-up Survey in 2011.The data can be obtained after the application is approved.According to the research needs of this paper,health-related indicators are selected to clean the data(missing values, abnormal values)and construct the research variables,so as to make it an effective data for this study.2.Descriptive statistical analysis of data. The data collected are analyzed from four aspects: self-evaluation of health,self-care ability, the number of chronic diseases and the degree of depression. The effects of individual factors on the health of middle-aged and elderly people are analyzed from three aspects: general, physiological and psychological.3.Establish a hierarchical linear model to explore the factors affecting the health of middle-aged and elderly people. With the background factors of middle-aged and old people’s life, this paper uses hierarchical linear model to explore how individual factors and background factors affect the health of middle-aged and old people.Results:(1)There are many factors affecting individual health, including demographic factors such as age and gender, social and economic status, medical and health care and lifestyle factors.Among them, health level decreases with age;male self-rated health, mental depression and the number of chronic diseases are indicators of male self-rated health, mental depression and chronic diseases. The standard is better than that of women, but the self-care ability is worse than that of women;the increase of income has a positive effect on health;the education level has a significant impact on self-rated health and mental depression, specifically, the health with low education level is better than that with high education level, but has no significant impact on the self-care ability and the number of chronic diseases;healthy lifestyle is conducive to improving health.Healthy level.(2)The results of stratified model show that apart from the impact of individual factors on the health of middle-aged and old people, the economic development, population density and the community’s attention to the health of the elderly have different effects on the health of middle-aged and old people. The more developed the community economy is,the higher the health level of the community residents is.The high population density is conducive to the communication between the middle-aged and the elderly, and has a promoting effect on the mental health of the elderly.(3)There are regional differences in the health level of the middle-aged and the elderly.Taking the western region as the reference group, the number of chronic diseases in Northeast China is more than that in the western region. There is no significant difference between the eastern, central and Western regions.
