| Purpose:To observe the improvement of somatic and psychological symptoms in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome of liver stagnation and spleen-depression after treatment with eye-acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine,and to investigate the effectiveness of eye-acupuncture therapy in improving clinical symptoms of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome,and provide new treatment methods and ideas for clinical practice.Material and method:All the cases were from patients diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in the encephalopathy clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.60 patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency were selected as subjects according to the criteria for CFS inclusion.According to the simple randomized grouping method,all 60 patients were equally assigned to the treatment group and the control group.Treatment group: eye acupuncture combined with Chinese herbal decoction treatment,eye acupuncture treatment once a day from Monday to Friday,10 days for a course of treatment.According to the clinical symptoms of liver depression and spleen deficiency traditional Chinese medicine decoction sometimes added Xiaoyao pill.Control group: According to the clinical manifestation,combined with TCM syndrome differentiation,the traditional Chinese medicine decoction Xiaoyao Pill was given.Mainly soothing liver and regulating qi,nourishing blood and invigorating spleen.The treatment and the control group were evaluated for fatigue according to fatigue scale-14(FS-14),liver depression and spleen syndrome score,and fatigue rating scale(FAI)before treatment.The fatigue scale was applied again after 4 weeks of treatment.Spleen syndrome scores were scored,and the treatment effect was evaluated based on points.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in fatigue scale-14(FS-14),liver depression and spleen syndrome score,and fatigue assessment scale(FAI).After treatment,FS-The scores of the treatment group before treatment and the control group were 9.83±1.39,respectively.6.40±1.69.The scores after treatment were lower than those before treatment,which were 10.13±1.20 and 7.87±1.06,respectively.The scores of symptoms of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency were decreased in the treatment group and the control group.The combination of the eye acupuncture and the Chinese medicine group was superior to the Chinese medicine group in improving appetite,bowel qi,and depression.The difference was statistically significant.The scores of the fatigue rating scale(FAI)decreased before and after treatment.The combination of the eye acupuncture and the Chinese medicine group was superior to the Chinese medicine group in improving fatigue status,memory,and oral expression.The difference was statistically significant.2.In terms of clinical curative effect,eye-needle combined with Chinese medicine group cured 11 cases,13 cases were markedly effective,4 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 93.3%.In the Chinese medicine group,6 cases were cured,10 cases were markedly effective,9 cases were effective,5 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 83.3%.According to the comparison of curative effect,the combination of eye-needle acupuncture and Chinese medicine is superior to that of simple Chinese medicine.Conclusion:1.Eye acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine group was superior to the traditional Chinese medicine group in terms of disease efficacy,fatigue assessment scale(FAI)score,fatigue scale(fs-14)score,liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome score.2.Eye acupuncture therapy is better than traditional Chinese medicine in improving the patient’s mental state and fatigue.3.Eye acupuncture therapy is effective in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome. |
