Phonetic Research Of Hepu Dialect In Xiangshan, Zhejiang

Hepu is the town of Xiangshan County,Ningbo City,Zhejiang Province,and it is located in the southern part of Xiangshan County.Xiangshan dialect has always been regarded as a branch of Yongjiang dialect,which belongs to Taihu part of the Wu dialect.But in fact,there are obvious regional differences and inter-generational differences among dialect points of Xiangshan County.Due to the comprehensive influence of immigration,geographical position and administrative division,Hepu dialect has a great degree of commonality with Taizhou dialect.It plays a transitional role in linking Taihu dialect and Taizhou dialect in dialect geography.On the basis of field investigation,this paper makes a detailed analysis and research on the dialect of Hepu dialect by using description,comparison and other basic research methods.The article has five chapters:Chapter One introduces the geographical position,regional division and historical conditions of Hepu Town,the research situation related to this topic,and the significance and methods of the study briefly.Chapter Two describes the phonetic system of Hepu dialect and also lists the tables of relations about initials,finals and tones.Chapter Three compares the initials,finals and tones of Hepu dialect with the middle ancient phonetics,and describes the corresponding relationship between Hepu dialect and the middle ancient phonetics in detail.This part is to explore the phonetic evolution rule of Hepu dialect from the diachronic perspective.Chapter Four compares Hepu dialect with Ningbo and Taizhou dialect objectively,mainly from jing group,zhi group and jian group to explore initials,from shu rhyme and ru rhyme to explore finals,from tone category,tone-pattern and tone pitch to explore tones.This part is to explore the relationship between Hepu dialect and Yongtai dialect.Chapter Five discusses the phonetic phenomena of related words in Hepu dialect,including pronoun system,diminutives and the words that distinguish the meaning by initials' turbidity.This part attempts to reveal the historical information which is contained in the phonetic form of specific words,and reflects the genetic relationship between dialects.At last,it summarizes the content of this paper.Trough the systematic investigation and detailed description,this article presentsphonetic system and phonological features of Hepu dialect to some extent,discusses the similarities and differences between Hepu dialect and Yongtai dialect,and also explores the phonetic phenomena of related words.It not only enriches the research results of dialects in Xiangshan,but also plays an active role in promoting the study of language contact and language variation.
