Phonetic Research Of Liaoyang Dialect

Liaoyang is located in the central part of Liaoning Province.It is the oldest city which is an important hub of Liaoning.So,Liaoyang dialect has its own phonetic features.Though the field investigation,this paper records the phonetics of five areas in Liaoyang.It tries to research the dialect by using a combination of kinds of methods and subjects which shows the phonetic features of Liaoyang.The paper is composed of six parts and the content of each chapter is summarized as follows:The introduction introduces the general situation of Liaoyang and sorts out the current research output of The Liaoyang dialect.It expounds the purpose and the significance,the object and the scope,the method and the source of the research.Then,it introduces the information of the articulation partners in a tabular form.The first part is the phonetic system of the Liaoyang dialect which consists of five sections.Firstly,this chapter summarizes the survey data with the description and the analysis of the initial consonant,the vowel system and the tone system.Secondly,this chapter summarizes the relationship combination of the phonological system,which is showed by drawing a tabular form.Finally,the chapter summarizes the phonetic system of the Liaoyang dialect.The second par is the synchronic study of phonology in Liaoyang which consists of three sections.The first section compares the Liaoyang dialect with the Mandarin from three aspects.The second section compares the dialects between Liaoyang and the areas around,which selects from Beijing Mandarin,Jiaoliao Mandarin and Northeastern Mandarin.The last section is about synchronic comparison results.The third part is the diachronic comparative study of Liaoyang dialect which consists of four sections.This chapter explores the diachronic evolution of Liaoyang dialect with using the Guang Yun,the Zhong Yuan Yin Yun,the Huang Zhong Tong Yun,the Wu Fang Yuan Yin and the Yin Yun Feng Yuan.Then,this chapter speculates the ancient tones that compares with the modern tones of Liaoyang.Sequentially,the article can reveal the development rules of the dialect.The fourth part is the tomographic study which consists of three sections.The first section is the phonetic comparison of the old and the new,which exploring the differences of different ages in modern dialect.The second section is a brief summary of the literary reading and the colloquial reading.This chapter is basis on the old male sound system and three aspects of phonological analysis.The last section describes the Liaoyang dialect from the dynamic point of view,including the light tone,the r-coloring and the tonal sand-hi.The last part is the conclusion,which is mainly on summering the research and the phonetic features of the Liaoyang dialect.Meanwhile,this chapter points out the defects of this study and puts forward the direction and the future trends of the research.
