With China’s influence on the world economy increasing,trade exchanges between China and South Korea get more and more frequent,and now China has become the one of the most important trade partners of South Korea.Therefore,most of the foreign trade specialties in South Korea universities set up Chinese courses and learning Chinese is popular with the students in such specialties.According to literature search,although there are many studies focusing on Korean Chinese learners,yet few on Korean foreign trade majors.As a native Korean,the author has learned Chinese for many years and is willing to put forward more realistic and authentic suggestions on Chinese learning for Korean foreign trade majors.By using the method of empirical study,this thesis investigates and analyses the learning status of foreign trade majors in Gyeonggi University,South Korea,and gives the corresponding countermeasures.This thesis is divided into four parts.The introduction part introduces the research background and significance,the related research status,and the related research work of the thesis.The first chapter is a questionnaire survey on the status quo of foreign trade students’ Chinese learning in Gyeonggi University,South Korea.The author classifies and describes the questionnaire mainly from two aspects of students’ learning and teachers’ teaching in order to pave the way for the following chapters.Students’ learning status quo is investigated from three aspects: learning concept,learning strategy and learning content while the teachers from another three aspects: curriculum setting,teaching methods and the use of teaching materials.Chapter two mainly finds out the problems existing in Chinese learning of foreign trade majors in Gyeonggi University of South Korea through questionnaires,and makes an analysis of the reasons for these problems.According to the survey,it is informed that the problems include lack of rich learning strategies,unclear learning concepts and specific learning content etc.At the same time,teachers’ teaching also has some problems such as imperfect curriculum,poor teaching methods and unreasonable use of textbooks.In the third chapter,based on the analysis of the reasons for the problems mentioned above,the author puts forward some learning and teaching suggestions for foreign trade majors and teachers in combination with relevant theoretical research and practical investigation.The research results of this thesis are as follows:Firstly,foreign trade majors should choose different learning strategies,actively clarify learning concepts and fully understand learning content in the process of learning Chinese.Secondly,in the process of teaching Chinese in foreign trade specialty,teachers should set up teaching courses reasonably,strengthen the students’ cultivation of communicative competence,and make efficient use of Chinese teaching materials on foreign trade.The author hopes that the thesis can be beneficial to foreign trade majors and foreign trade Chinese teachers as well in South Korea.
