The Study Of Basketball Team Interpretation From The Perspective Of Ecological Translation

The development of professional basketball in China has been more than 20 years.More and more foreign coaches and players have entered the Chinese basketball league.On the one hand,it promotes the international exchange of basketball philosophy.On the other hand,it has greatly improved the professional level of Chinese basketball.At present,with the development of the basketball market and the expansion of the basketball industry,the importance of basketball translation is increasing day by day,this phenomenon has gradually attracted attention and thinking in the field of sports and translation.Guided by the theory of Eco-translatology,and combined with the author’s experience as an escort interpreter in a basketball team,this paper expounds the characteristics of basketball text in translational eco-environment of the basketball,and it also discusses the translation strategy in some typical cases,and then draws conclusions.This paper firstly outlines the basis of the topic and the significance of the research.The backgrounds of sports translation,NBL league and the theory of Eco-translatology are briefly described,and the problems existing in the current basketball translation are pointed out.The innovation of this paper is introducing the theory of Eco-translatology to the escort interpreting in basketball team which can provide solutions for the problems of the latter.Secondly,the research ideas and research methods adopted in this paper are introduced.The research ideas are presented in the form of path graphs and the research methods are mainly literature method and participatory method.Thirdly,in the literature review section,the basic concepts of escort interpreting in basketball team and Eco-translatology are introduced,as well as the current research status of the two aspects at home and abroad,and the main research perspectives are determined according to the theoretical framework of Eco-translatology.To analyze the cases of the escort interpreting in basketball team,this paper is carried out from part of the perspective of Eco-translatology,with focusing on the ecological rationality,translational eco-environment,the adaptation and selection,the three-dimensional transformations,the motivation of translation and the punishment after translating.Through the analysis of some typical basketball terms and the processing of translations under special circumstances,this paper discusses the text translation strategy under the basketball translational eco-environment.Finally,in the summary part,from the perspective of Eco-translatology,this paper comprehensively analyzes the translation strategies of basketball-related texts,emphasizes that interpreters should follow ecological rationality,adapt to translational eco-environment,rationally use theprinciple of the three-dimensional transformations,and make the adaptive selection of the interpreting.At the same time,it points out the limitations and shortcomings of this paper,and also returns to the original intention of this paper—expanding the research field of Eco-translatology,exploring the translation strategies of basketball-related texts,and attracting more relevant scholars to conduct post-study together.
