Tchaikovsky was an outstanding representative of the Russian nationalists music during the romantic period of the 19 th century,whose works were full of national features."Dumka op.59" was one of his classic works,which was based on the fusion of Russian folk music and dance music elements,combining with western composition techniques meanwhile.The music style was unique,for which not only reflected gorgeous style of European music,but also the atmosphere of Russian folk music.This article first introduces the life of Tchaikovsky and the creation background of "Dumka op.59",and then analyzes the music of the work from various aspects,such as musical form,harmony,melody and polyphony.Combining Tchaikovsky's life and growing environment,the author further studies and expounds the nationality,tragedy,lyricism and drama of the music work from multiple angles.Finally,based on her own experience in playing practice,the author discusses the performing techniques and the comparison of performance versions from the key touch method,the grasp of speed and strength,and the use of pedals.The author also compares the different performance versions of Mikhail Pletnev and Andrey Pisarev,and explores how to apply their strengths to actual performance.Through multi-dimensional research on this music work,the author wishes to fully grasp and interpret the style and artistic connotation of this work,help students majoring in music deepen understanding of the work,and provide certain reference for them in future performance practice.
