This thesis is an indepth exegetical analysis of Wittgenstein's views on the topics of sensation and self. I move from an investigation of Wittgenstein as a behaviorist into a discussion of his view on the self. This thesis is primarily an exploration of Wittgenstein. I am not attempting here to develop a view or to defend a view, but merely to follow Wittgenstein's trail through these issues in order to see what interesting ideas develop. I do not know where the trail leads, but I am sure that there will be many interesting sights along the way. |
