Energy is an important material basis for the survival and development of human society and one of the most basic factors to promote economic growth. However, consuming a large amount of carbon-containing energy will directly lead to global climate warming and deterioration of ecological environment, which undoubtedly brings severe challenges to human survival and economic development. Therefore, this paper focuses on the development of carbon emission reduction in China in recent years, and carries out research on the related topics of China's carbon emission level, which has certain theoretical and practical significance.Firstly, based on the measurement of carbon emission intensity, this paper analyzes the time trend and spatial distribution of carbon emission intensity. The results show that China's carbon emission intensity has obvious spatial aggregation and regional differences. Then combined with the spatial autocorrelation test, the results show that China's carbon emission intensity has obvious spatial correlation, and the spatial aggregation pattern is developing towards L-L(low-low)aggregation direction. At last, the empirical analysis of this paper starts from two aspects.First,on the basis of the static spatial Durbin model,a spatial Durbin quantile model is constructed to explore the influence degree of various variables under different levels of carbon emission intensity. The model results show that the industrial structure has a certain promoting effect on carbon emission intensity no matter at what level it is.The wealth effect has a certain inhibiting effect on low and medium level regions of carbon emission intensity, but has no significant effect on high level regions of carbon emission intensity. In the regions with high carbon emission intensity, the impact of population effect on carbon emission intensity increases rather than decreases.Only in areas with low carbon intensity will the technological level have a significant reduction effect.Secondly, considering the influence of dynamic effect,a dynamic spatial Durbin model is constructed to study the spatial effect of China's carbon emission intensity. The model results show that: industrial structure has a direct spatial effect in both long and short term; The spillover effect of both the long-term and short-term effects of the dependency ratio passed the significance level of 1%.Energy intensity has a positive spatial direct effect and a negative spatial spillover effect. The energy structure produces long-term spatial direct and short-term spatial spillover effect. On the other hand,GDP per capita and regional openness only have long-term direct effect, and the spillover effect of them is not significant. The proposed innovations of this paper are as follows: based on the static spatial Durbin model, the spatial Durbin quantile model is constructed to study the influence degree of each variable under different levels of carbon emission intensity;Considering the influence of dynamic effect, the dynamic space Durbin model can be constructed to measure the long-term effect and short-term effect of carbon emission intensity, and the results are more comprehensive.
