Turbomachinery has important applications in aerospace,energy,water conservancy,petrochemical industry and other fields,and the integral impeller due to its high performance,high efficiency and high strength characteristics,has gradually become the core component of alternative turbo machinery,the quality of processing quality directly affect the performance of turbo machinery.The processing efficiency will directly affect the manufacturing cost of turbine machinery and equipment.However,due to the processing parts of the thin-walled structure,the processing of poor,how to ensure the production efficiency without reducing the processing quality has always been a difficult problem in the manufacturing field.Around this problem,this paper takes the numerical control machining of the whole impeller as the research object,from the process planning,the generation of the electrode trajectory and the machining process,the virtual simulation processing technology and the experimental verification.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The overall impeller numerically controlled milling and EDM combined machining process was planned,including the division of the machining stage,the translational mode and the selection of the inch reduction,the selection of the electrode material,etc.,which made necessary preparation for the overall impeller tool path generation.(2)The method of representing the impeller surface involved in the overall impeller machining,the principle of electrode area division,and the main technical parameters and process parameters in EDM are studied.Based on this,the design of the electrode trajectory is completed.(3)The three-dimensional software was used to simulate the electrode trajectory in the overall impeller machining.Boolean operation simulation and dynamic assembly simulation were completed.The simulation results were analyzed and the influence of theoretical deviation on the aerodynamic performance of the impeller was calculated.(4)Using this method,the five types of impellers are processed in an integrated manner and compared with a single EDM method respectively,the machining efficiency is improved by 11%-43%,and the machining accuracy meets the requirements of the drawings,which validates the processing method in this paper.The high efficiency and quality stability.Through the research of this subject,an overall closed impeller high-efficiency EDM process scheme based on EDM and CNC milling was proposed.Through the actual processing of various types of impellers,it was verified that this method can ensure the accuracy of machining.Greatly improve the impeller processing efficiency.
