Thin slab casting and rolling technology is a new hot-rolled coil production process successfully developed in eighty years of the last century.The first production line was imported to our country in 1999.After 17 years of development,Thin slab continuous casting and rolling mill has played a huge role in the ultra-thin specifications,silicon steel and high-quality special steel production.With the expanding of thin slab continuous casting and rolling unit output,production specifications and deterioration of the economy environment,higher requirements have been put forward by users.Focus on the low control precision and strip narrow defect of procution width in the thin slab continuous casting and rolling unit of Benxi steel,On the basis of theoretical analysis,t a set of optimization was established for production line to eliminate these defects and improve the precision of width control.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)According to the location of the strip head from the narrow gauge,the position of the control problem points was summarized,which plays a positive role in shortening the time of finding problems and reducing the losses of enterprises in the production process.(2)Through the analysis of the perfect narrow feet strip,it was found that the vertical roll short stroke action time and roughing area frame between micro tension control parameters and the strip steel is directly related to connect body to narrow feet.The perfect narrow foot problem is resolved by optimizing the vertical roll short stroke action time and adjust the roughing micro tension control parameter.(3)Through the analysis of local narrow feet strip,it was found that the frame does not match and finishing second flow between loop tension adjustment and the strip steel is directly related to local narrow feet.Local narrow foot problem is resolved by modifying the rolling force self-learning control parameter values and modifying the finishing.(4)Field test and analysis of affecting the main factors of thin slab continuous casting and rolling unit width control precision were done.Steps such as steady continuous casting casting speed,slab width optimization and changing the point for the width self learning,the control precision of strip width and user satisfaction are improved.Through the work of this paper,the product width control of thin slab continuous casting and rolling mill is improved.The problem of narrow foot defects are solved and the product quality is improved.
