Under the guidance of the concept of green development, the relationship between manufacturing enterprises and the environment has become the focus of our society. On the one hand, due to the increase of customers’ green demand, the strengthening of government regulation and the intensification of market competition, green innovation practice has become an inevitable choice for enterprises to undertake social responsibility and realize sustainable development. On the other hand, the call of "accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing industry, cultivating new growth points and forming new momentum in the fields of high-end consumption, innovation leading, green and low-carbon"put forward by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has added impetus for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to explore green innovation practice, and more and more manufacturing enterprises have begun to implement green innovation strategy. As a practice of organizational management innovation that can reduce environmental risk, green innovation strategy has become an important measure for manufacturing enterprises to realize sustainable development in all aspects. However,in the process of making green innovation strategy,decision-making and resource constraints can not be ignored.Based on the green innovation strategy, this paper attempts to explore the decision-making mechanism of the green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises. In the process of making green innovation strategy, whether there is an effective generation path for green innovation strategy decision-making of manufacturing enterprises, how the perception of external green pressure affects the formulation of environmental commitment and green innovation strategy, and what situational factors will affect environmental commitment and strategic decision-making.In view of the above problems, based on the theory of enterprise behavior, this paper explores how to make strategic decisions in the face of external green pressure. At the same time, the resource-based theory is incorporated into the strategic decision-making process of the organization, and the adjustment mechanism of organizational slack is introduced. The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of resource constraints on environmental commitment and green innovation strategic mechanism. In this paper, data analysis and test are carried out based on questionnaires from 306 manufacturing enterprises, the results show that:(1)Government pressure, market pressure and social pressure positively impact the green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises.(2)Government pressure, market pressure and social pressure positively affect environmental commitment.(3)Environmental commitment has an outstanding positive influence on green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises.(4)Environmental commitment acts an intermediary part between government pressure, market pressure, social pressure and green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises.Environmental commitment promotes green innovation strategy formulation to combat external green pressure.(5)Unabsorbed organizational slack positively moderates the mediating effect of environmental commitment on external green pressure and green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises. The more organizational slack is un-absorbed,the stronger the mediating effect of environmental commitment on the external green pressure and the green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises is,and vice versa. The absorbed organizational slack negatively regulates the mediating role of environmental commitment on the external green pressure and the green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises within a certain level. The more organizational slack is absorbed, the weaker the mediating effect of environmental commitment on external green pressure and green innovation strategy of manufacturing enterprises within a certain level, and vice versa. |
