Under the background of “carbon peak, carbon neutral” strategy and green development, green innovation has become a necessary way for enterprises to deal with the environmental challenges of uncertainty and achieve sustainable development. The sustainable development of enterprises is a macro-level goal.Employees are an important basis for transforming the organization’s macro-sustainable development strategy into concrete practice.Employees’ views on the organization’s green innovation practice are an important factor in their willingness to participate in the organization’s environmental protection work.Based on this, this dissertation analyzes the logical relationship between employees’ environmental perception and ambidextrous green innovation, explores the mediating role of green organizational identity, and examines the moderating role of green transformational leadership and green organizational atmosphere. It finds out all the combinations that stimulate the ambidextrous green innovation of manufacturing enterprises,as well as the different effects of the region and scale heterogeneity of enterprises on promoting the ambidextrous green innovation of enterprises.Firstly, this dissertation defines the relevant concepts.Based on the threat-based integration, the employees’ perception of environmental protection is divided into opportunity perception and threat perception. The internal logical relationship between employees’ perception of environmental protection, green organizational identity and ambidextrous green innovation is analyzed theoretically,as well as the boundary role of green transformational leadership and green organizational atmosphere, and the research hypothesis is refined and the conceptual model is built.Secondly, hierarchical regression analysis is used to test the direct impact of employees’ threat perception and opportunity perception on ambidextrous green innovation.Bootstrap method is used to verify whether green organizational identity has a mediating effect between employees’ environmental perception and ambidextrous green innovation,as well as the moderating effect of green transformational leadership and green organizational atmosphere.Thirdly, through fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fs QCA),the complex causal relationship between employees’ environmental perception and ambidextrous green innovation is deeply explored to find out all the combinations that stimulate the ambidextrous green innovation of manufacturing enterprises. Then, based on the heterogeneity test, the dissertation analyzes the different effects of the region and scale heterogeneity of the enterprise on promoting the dual green innovation of the enterprise. The results show that employees’ threat perception and opportunity perception can not only directly affect ambidextrous green innovation, but also trigger dual green innovation by enhancing green organizational identity. The synergy between employees’ threat perception, opportunity perception, green organizational identity, green transformational leadership and green organizational atmosphere can also promote high-level ambidextrous green innovation in manufacturing enterprises. Finally, according to the results of empirical analysis, the countermeasures to promote the ambidextrous green innovation of manufacturing enterprises based on employees’ environmental perception are put forward.
