| ObjectiveResearch on efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of colorectal polyposis in Ling-nan(GuangZhou)region and discussion of syndrome and pathogenesis about colonic polyposis. Then make a furthe studying about the factors in fluencing the recurrence of colorectal polyps after resection through data analysis.Explore and provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of colorectal polyposis.MethodRetrospective analysis of 121 patients with colorectal polyps who treatment by endoscopic resection and re-colonoscopy in the next year in Guangdong second traditional Chinese medicine hospital from January 2018 to January 2021(The review time of the last patient was taken as the end time of the study).Collecting physical and clinical data from these patients. The patients are divided into the TCM intervention group and control group according to whether or not treat by TCM.Research on efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of colorectal polyposis and carry out the factors in fluencing the recurrence of colorectal polyps after resection through data analysis by SPSS 23.0 statistical software.Result1.In TCM intervention group, there are 55 cases of recurrence and 21 cases of non-recurrence,the recurrence rate is 72.37%.In control group, there are 40 cases of recurrence and 5 cases of non-recurrence,the recurrence rate is 88.89%.The recurrence rate of TCM intervention group is more lower than the control group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The total effective rate of TCM intervention group is 92.11%.The total effective rate of control group is 73.33%.TCM intervention group is significantly better than the control group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05)3.According to major Chinese medicine clinical symptoms in patients,The frequency of different TCM syndrome is 35 cases(46.05%)for large intestinal damp-heat syndrome>15 cases(19.74%)for retention of damp and blood stasis syndrome>14 cases(18.42%)for Spleen deficiency and blood stasis syndrome>12 cases(15.79%)for Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. The recurrence rate of different TCM syndrome has no significant difference(P>0.05).4.The difference in gender is statistically significant, male has a more recurrence rate than female,85.94%vs 70.18%,(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of colorectal polyps after resection is more higher in over 50-year-old than below 49-year-old,83.67%vs 56.52%,(P<0.05).And there are no significant difference between the recurrence and non-recurrence group in Body Mass Index(P>0.05).5.In this study, the quantity, location, pathology of colorectal polyps are irrelevant to the recurrence in the clinical analysis(P>0.05).6.Male(OR:2.769,CI[1.078,7.117])and over the age of 50(OR:4.192,CI[1.515,11.598])are the risk factors of colorectal polyps.ConclusionThere is higher recurrence rate after endoscopic resection in Ling-nan(GuangZhou)region,where the frequent TCM syndromes of colonic polyposis is large intestinal damp-heat syndrome.Treatment of complications with Chinese medicine according to syndrome differentiation can reduce the recurrence of colorectal polyps after resection within a year, and improve the total effective rate.the recurrence rate of different TCM syndrome has no significant difference.Gender and age are the influential factors for recurrence after polypectomy.Male and over the age of 50 have a high recurrence rate of after resection within a year. |
