Clinical Observation Of Taohong Siwu Decoction On Relieving Preoperative Swelling Of Type C3 Distal Radius Fracture

Objective: By exploring the clinical efficacy of Taohong Siwu Decoction for C3 distal radius fractures with swelling of the limbs before operation,and analyzing its clinical application prospects.Methods: From April 2020 to February 2021,70 patients with C3 type distal radius fractures who were treated in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics in our hospital were randomly divided into a control group and a test group.After admission,the two groups of patients were treated with conventional treatment programs including wrist brace fixation after manual reduction of the fractured end of the affected side,ice compress,elevation of the affected limb,medication to reduce swelling,pain relief,and stomach protection.The experimental group added Taohong Siwu Decoction to oral administration on the basis of conventional treatment.The course of treatment for the two groups of patients started on the day of admission and ended when the local swelling was graded as grade 1.All patients were treated for more than 5 days or more.Record the swelling value(D0,D3,D5),swelling score(D0,D3,D5),swelling time(time of appearance of skin wrinkles),incidence of tension blisters,incidence of serious adverse events,and traditional Chinese medicine during treatment for each patient Syndrome curative effect index.The SPSS20.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the above data.Results: In the final 70 patients,4 cases fell out,and 66 patients were included in the statistics,including 33 cases in the control group,9 males and 24 females,with an average age of(57.30±10.65)years;33 cases in the experimental group,10 males and 23 females,The average age is(57.30±11.64)years old.General information of the two groups of cases:gender,age,height,weight,side of the affected limb,BMI index,and AO classification of distal radius fractures.There was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the D0 swelling value between the two groups of patients(P>0.05);the difference between the two groups of patients in the D3 and D5 swelling value groups was significantly statistically significant(P<0.01);There was no significant difference between the two groups of patients in the D0 and D3 swelling score groups(P>0.05);the difference between the two groups of patients in the D5 swelling score group was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was a statistically significant difference in the time for patients to reduce swelling between the groups(P<0.01);the difference in the incidence of tension blisters between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);there was no significant difference between the two groups of cases Serious adverse events.The comparison of D0 TCM syndrome scores between the two groups showed that the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the D5 TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were compared,and the test group was lower than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);two The clinical efficacy of TCM symptoms in the two groups was effective.The total effective rate of the experimental group was 87.9% and that of the control group was 57.6%.The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: The use of Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with conventional programs for C3 type distal radius fractures can accelerate the preoperative swelling subsidence,thereby shortening the swelling time and improving the effective rate of treatment.
