Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Distal Radius Fracture (Type C) With Taohong Siwu Decoction And Internal Fixation With Plate And Screw

Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Taohong Siwu Decoction plus open reduction and internal fixation with plate and screw in the treatment of distal radius fractures.Methods: A total of 84 patients with type C distal radius fracture of Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome who met the inclusion criteria from February 2022 to February2023 in Fuzhou Second Hospital were randomly divided into a control group(42cases)and a test group(42 cases).Both groups were treated with forearm plaster fixation and immobilization before surgery,and preoperative examinations were completed.Open reduction and plate screw internal fixation of distal radius fractures were performed on a selective basis.The control group received local cold therapy after surgery,elevated the affected limb,and guided early functional exercise,followed by routine postoperative treatment for distal radius fractures.The experimental group received Taohong Siwu Decoction plus or minus treatment after surgery on the basis of the control group,with a course of treatment of 4 weeks.Observe and analyze the postoperative swelling value of the affected limb,the swelling and swelling reduction rate,the effective rate of swelling treatment,the degree of pain,Gartland Werley wrist joint function,the incidence of complications,and TCM syndrome scoring indicators.SPSS 25.0 was used for data entry and statistical analysis.Results:A total of 84 cases were collected,including 4 cases of exfoliation.Finally,each group completed 40 studies.Among them,there were 20 males and 20 females in the test group,22 males and 18 females in the control group.The average age of the test group was(50.65 ± 11.38)years old,and the average age of the control group was(52.05 ± 10.46)years old.There was no significant difference in gender,age,and the distribution structure of the affected limbs and left and right hands between the two groups.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on the first day after surgery(P>0.05).On the third and fifth days,the experimental group had significantly better swelling and swelling reduction rates and significant swelling treatment effectiveness rates than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the degree of pain between the experimental group and the control group on the first day after surgery(P>0.05),and on the third,fifth,and seventh days,it was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).The Gartland Werley wrist function score in the experimental group was significantly superior to the control group(P<0.05),The score of TCM symptoms in the experimental group and the control group was significantly lower one month after surgery than before treatment,and the score of TCM symptoms in the experimental group was lower one month after surgery than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Taohong Siwu Decoction has a certain clinical effect on postoperative limb swelling,postoperative pain,and recovery of wrist joint function in patients with C-type distal radius fracture of Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.It is worth promoting and applying in the future clinical treatment of C-type distal radius fracture of Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.
