Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Rotavirus Diarrhea In Wet And Hot Children With Zhixie Decoction

backgroundRotavirus diarrhea is the most common digestive tract disease in infants and young children,with a high incidence and serious complications,including shock and death.However,modern medicine does not have specific antiviral drugs at present,and only creates recovery conditions to cure itself.Therefore,effective treatment methods should be adopted as early as possible.ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate the clinical effect of Zhixie decoction on Rotavirus diarrhea in children.Through the main and objective observation indicators,the Western medicine group and the traditional Chinese medicine group were evaluated comprehensively to improve the clinical symptoms of Rotavirus diarrhea in children,as well as the impact of safety and efficiency,and to give full play to the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsBy adopting the prospective randomized control study method,80 cases of children with hot and humid Rotavirus diarrhea were collected from February 2019 to February 2020 in the pediatric outpatient and inpatient treatment of Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.The random number-even number method was used to randomly include 72 patients,and 72 cases that met the criteria were divided into treatment groups and control groups.In the research,18 were boys and 18 were girls in the treatment group.In the control group,there were 16 boys and 20 girls.There was no shedding in this experiment.The control group was given montmorillonite powder(Pour the medicine into 50ml warm water,stir and take it orally.1 year old,1 bag/day.1-2 years old,2 bags/day.2-5 years old,3 bags/day).The treatment group was given Zhixie decoction(South bean flower 10g,basil stem 6g,white Peony 10g,plate blue root 10g,car precursor 10g,Chenpi6g,Fapinxia 10g,cloth residue leaf 10g,fire charcoal 10g,licorice 3g,Qianshi 10g,pomegranate skin 10g).Decocting method:Unified decoction by the preparation room of our hospital(using JH07240/3001 decoction,packaging machine)as a bag decoction,one dose per day(lbags,about 150ml).Halve the amount of drugs for children under 1 year old(0.5 bag,about80 ml).The clinical symptom relief,antidiarrheal time,and fecal rotavirus antigen conversion were statistically analyzed before and after treatment,and the differences were compared.Results(1)There was no significant difference between the two groups in the baseline data before treatment(age,gender),course of disease,symptoms and total score before treatment,and the comparability was strong(P>0.05).(2)In terms of clinical efficacy,this study observed the comprehensive clinical efficacy of Zhixie prescription in the treatment of infantile rotavirus diarrhea,and compared it with the oral montmorillonite powder group.The results showed that the total effective rate was 97.22%in the treatment group and 88.89%in the control group,showing no significant difference(P=0.167>0.05).However,there was a significant difference in the effect of level between the two groups(P=0.000<0.01).The results showed that Zhixie prescription was still better than the control group in the treatment of rotavirus diarrhea in children with damp and heat syndrome.(3)There were significant differences in the total score of TCM symptoms,total score of secondary syndromes and most single symptom scores between the two groups before and after treatment,indicating that both groups had significant efficacy in improving TCM symptom scores.In the improvement of the main syndrome(defecate frequency),and part of the secondary syndrome(including mental,vomiting,crying,diet,drinking water,skin,tongue moisture,urine volume,anal skin),the effect of Zhixie prescription treatment group was significantly better than the control group.(4)There were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group in antidiarrheal time and in rotavirus antigen conversion(P<0.05).(5)Rotavirus antigen negative conversion:there was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P=0.004<0.01).And the treatment group was better than the control group.(6)During the whole study,the liver and kidney function of the children before and after treatment showed no abnormality.In the control group,there were 2 cases of children with dry stool and 1 case of children with cough after taking medicine,while in the treatment group,no obvious adverse reactions were observed,indicating that ZhiXie prescription was safe and effective.ConclusionClinical research shows that the treatment group has good effect in the treatment of rotavirus diarrhea.And it has more advantages in symptom effect and overall curative effect,antidiarrheal time,rotavirus antigen turning to the negative,and has less adverse reactions,good taste and easy to be accepted by children.
